3 Command Line Apps To Search The Web

In this video, I show three of my favorite command line tools that allow you to search the web right from the terminal. Used in conjunction with a terminal-based browser, you can search for important information (such as Linux installation help) even if you do not have a graphical environment (GUI).

Cool, but Googler is useless if you're on a VPN. Google blocks those addresses, insisting on a Captcha, which is only available through a graphical browser.

Not necessarily true. If you hook one of these up to a keybinding + dmenu or something like that, it can be faster and less friction to just pop up a search bar right on the screen whatever you're doing.

some linux nerds are so insane they would prefer to view an image on terminal because it looks "cool" I guess. Is it that hard to launch your browser and type on the bar on top what you wanna search.

@@CodeEnthusiast78912 honestly depends. if im looking for a video or image yeah id just use the browser. but lets say I am in terminal and want to search something in the archwiki, well its all text so why not just use a terminal browser since I am already in term?
