3 DAY POTTY TRAINING SUCCESS (with all 3 kids at 21, 22 & 24 months of age!)

I am no expert, however I have successfully potty trained all three of my kids (son & two daughters) at 24, 22 & 21 months old! Here are some of my personal tips and tricks and the method we followed in hopes that it encourages you to have as much success! Good luck!

I’m on day two with my 21month old son, and I underestimated how stressful this would be! I haven’t handled every accident with grace, so I was searching for testimonials for encouragement. Watching this in 2022. Staying home for 3 days straight??? Easy. Lol. Thank you so much for your video!! I was on day 1 today of a 3 day training plan with my 25mo son and he had a few successes, but a lot of accidents. He was having a hard time telling me when to go. Or I would sit him on the toilet, he wouldn’t go, I would take him off the potty and he would go 2 min later. I was really second guessing myself if he was really ready, or if I was doing it right. This video makes me feel so much better. Thank you!

Thanks for the video! Day 1 &2 were awesome and day 3 she went just once. Kept telling us and nothing would happen and then she’d have accidents. Hmm. It sure why. Do you keep them in diapers or pull-ups for naps and night time?

I first watched your original potty training video with your other daughter before starting my potty training journey with my daughter, and now I’m back on lol!!! We are on day 2 and she is doing AWESOME! She only had 2 accidents on day 1 and 8 successes (in the potty). Today she had 1 accident and 6 successes so far...BUT SHE WILL NOT POOP IN THE POTTY. I think she is afraid, she freaks out if I even mention trying. Lord give me strength lol 😅

She pees no problem and we only do pull ups for naps , trips , and bedtime I’ve been so much like treats , prizes , to picking out her own potty chair and undies. Any tips for a child who does not talk yet. My daughter has had multiple ear surgeries and has yet to say a word yet. My son was super easy to potty train since he was not speech delayed and I trained him around this age. Any tips would help!

Thank you so much for posting this! My daughter Elle is 20 months and is showing signs she might be ready soon. I have a couple questions... do you use pull ups only during nap time and nighttime? When do you phase out of those? If the 5th day of potty training lands on a Sunday do you still take them to Sunday school? Or just skip that week?

Kelly Donelson I do pull ups at nap/night for about another year or so personally. Although nap is usually dry! And that Sunday I actually took Florence. I was so stressed but just took her right when we got there and told the nursery worker to ask her or just try taking her in 30 mins. She has been dry every time at church! Just bring a change of clothes in case. :)

I have been struggling with potty training my 23 month old son all week but this video has given me a renewed sense of hope & vigor. How long did you continue with giving rewards? A week still is fresh. Every kid responds differently. My son took 2 weeks. My daughter took 2 days. In hindsight I’m so thankful I just got it done. PERIOD! Lol you’re doing a great job! Stick to it!!

I’m finding it hard to get my son’s briefs off mid wee when putting him on the potty. Do you think it’s ok just putting him on while there up so he makes the connection that wee goes in the potty? He can still see the wee that goes in there and points to it saying ‘wee’

I'm having so much trouble potty training my almost 2 yo boy! He's 23 months. My daughter was SO easy! 😣 He tells me after he goes potty, doesn't like being in it. But he just really doesn't like to sit on the potty! He'll whine and fuss. I have tried underwear and he would just pee in them, so I've just kept him nakey. He'll just pee on the floor next to his potty. 🤦 come help me! Lol 🤣 Any tips, though? P.s. I've tried both a little potty & the mini potty on the big potty. 🤷

I used the techniques you mentioned in your potty training video. My son does great going pee in the potty but when it comes to poo it is like pulling teeth!! He absolutely refuses to do it no matter what i do. I tried the rewards but nope. It has gone as far as him getting so constipated i had to take him to the pediatrician. There's a lot that could be stopping him from going. Self-consciousness, feeling vulnerable, scared, etc. Keep trying and when he does it, give him LOTS of praise so he's willing to try it again. We also put him in the bathroom when we did our business so he knew what was going on and saw it as normal. Hope this helps!

I'm on day three with my daughter. It's not working. She thinks it's a game. She doesn't tell me when she needs to go, and has a ton of accidents on the floor. She's 2 and a half and very stubborn. I sit her on the potty and nothing happens. I give her juice and salty snacks and still no luck. I'm at a loss.

my daughter is starting to pull off her pee diapers, and just now her first #2. I constantly am changing her diapers so the fact that she pulls it completely off before I can even notice, is crazy. I think she is SO ready! she's 20 month (2 September 26th) only thing I'm actually scared about is all the summer clothes (bottoms ) I just bought her, are they gonna be waaaay to big on her butt without diapers LOL? Was she ready? My boy is 21 months and started pulling at his pee diapers. He really likes saying "Bye Bye Pee Pee" when we use the potty. I think he's almost ready! We sat him on the toilet before his bath last night and he was beaming with confidence at looking like a big boy 😊

bandedgorJESS oh man. All the tears for you. All I can say is ugh. This too shall pass? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I did the 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks old (book) method with my last. Little CIO. And I worked great for me. Look into it! Also I know CIO is hard. But your 18mo should be sleeping through. I'd give it 2-3 nights of crying and I bet it would click. They have to learn to self soothe somehow! No more nighttime bottles! You need that energy towards the twins. You can do it. 👊🏼

I read the French Parenting tips book by Pamela Druckerman and thought her chapter on sleep training was really informative and helpful. The idea of connecting their sleep cycles was really life changing for us. Thought I would add that because we didn't do CIO with either kiddo but employed her notion of waiting and watching.
