@@aerRosu Yes, I continued to use diapers for naptime and bedtime. I only stopped using diapers at naptime after consecutive afternoons with a dry diaper, which wasn't for a few months. When he wakes up from bedtime he's typically dry 5 or 6 times a week in the morning, so we're just about there. He will be 3 in June, so he'll probably be fully trained by then, hopefully!

I used this method over Memorial day weekend (both my husband and I work full time) and I think it was a success! Some background info: My daughter is 2.5 and has had previous experience going to the potty, but wasn't going all the time and was still wearing diapers/pull-ups for the majority of the time. When she started taking off her clothes and diapers after she woke up from bed/nap time and peed on the bed (sigh), we realized we needed to potty train her. Here's a summary of how it went... Day 1: I followed the instructions (lots of liquids, no undies, timer for every 15 min) in the morning and she had no accidents! Was very excited so after her nap, I decided to skip ahead to day 2 instructions where we did put on just undies. I was a little more lax on the timer and she ended up having two accidents back to back. Later in the evening after bathtime (so diaper was on) she started a poop and I immediately picked her up, tooker her diaper off, and sat her on the toilet to see if she would finish it off, and she did! This day she did not ask or alert me that she needed to go potty. Day 2: Still followed day 2 instructions for the most part (just undies and timer for 20 min). She wasn't as into drinking apple juice anymore so her pee frequency was a lot less. She had 1 accident. I did take her in the car to run a quick errand (picking up our Chipotle order) and she did fine, but we did not get out of the car and this maybe took about 20 minutes total. This day she did not ask or alert me to go potty. She did have some resistance when it was time for me to take her to the potty. Day 3: Followed day 3 instructions except did not go on an outing (no time). She had 1 accident earlier in the day (should have paid more attention to the clock). Asked me once to go potty, all other times were when I told her we had to go. A huge win for me though was that right before bathtime, she was complaining of her tummy hurting and I told her it sounded like she needed to go poo poo. So we tried and nothing happened. And then later as I was getting her younger sibling ready to join bath with her, I walked into the bathroom and she had gotten on the potty by herself and worked out a poop! I was very happily surprised. She is at daycare today (day 4) and so far so good! Her teacher messaged us and said that our daughter has asked the teacher to go potty each time! I'm so glad I watched this video -- thank you for your detailed instructions! Good luck to all the other parents out there!

I adjusted/extended your method to use on my 14 month old son - We've done part-time EC with him since 3 months, but he hit a big regression. This method was the perfect "boot camp" to help us wrap up potty training! It's been 7 days now and he's had only 1 accident in the last 72 hours. We are SO proud of him! He's usually in his undies at home, but we've gone out with clothes on a few times with success. Whoo-hoo!

Great steps to use when potty training. My 18 month old took a bit longer than three days. She was terrified to sit on the toilet seat so we bought a potty seat to fit on our toilet seat. This helped so much. She gained confidence when sitting and she actually peed on the first day. It took us about a week to complete the training. She's now asking to use the potty. That feels so good to hear. Thanks for sharing this video.

My son is 3 and we're using this method. We are on Day 2 and basically my son is following a similar routine as you explained throughout the video. I think he's sick of watered down apple juice though. I keep asking him and he keeps refusing it - so he hasn't peed as much as he did yesterday. I'm going to get him some other things, like watermelon and cucumbers. It has helped to rewatch your video a couple times too. At first I just tried to listen and learn, but at the end of each day I'd watch it again and then could say, "Yep. He did that." or "I forgot to do that. I'll try it tomorrow." It also helped me keep to the routine without accidentally messing it up. :)

20 years ago I tried potty training my daughter when she was 2 years old and it didn't work. I waited when she was almost 3 years old and did the 3 days method and it worked!!! - Because she loved to drink, I put water, juice, and milk on the coffee table and she drank them. She was so excited! I knew she would want to pee about 15- 20 minutes later and I took her to the potty - I stayed at home all weekend doing the same thing - It was summer so she was just wearing a summer dress, and no underwear - She had two accidents on the floor and she DEMANDED a pull up😂. She was mad and I said nope! - Also no bribing just a lot of praise - I started on Friday afternoon and by Sunday she was fully trained - So I know for sure the 3 days method works 👌🏼

I was stressing out beforehand, because our younger child is just 5 months old, but luckily since dad was alao around to help it all went smoothly. Our daughter didn't ask to go potty herself until day 3, and that was for poop. Now on day four she has asked to go pee as well! Luckily she showed clear signs every time she had to go, so we hardly even had any accidents; none on day three and four even though we were practically away from home all afternoon yesterday. We then thought o great we can never leave the house again, more thoughts of this is impossible. Day 3 we are trained to say do you need to go to the potty. Just started going on his own, no accidents. Went on errands and the park and he used public restrooms. He even told me in the car he had to poop so we pulled over and used a little car potty and went. No accidents on the 3rd day. Very amazed this worked. Hi Gabriela, Firstly - I want to say thank you, I found your video really helpful. I did this method with my 1 AND 2 and a half year old over the weekend. The experience was absolutely awful - however last night my son - Mr 2 and a half year old (on his own accord) went to bed without a nappy and is going to the toilet often when he needs to go. He was so ready and loves his independence - he has so much pride in himself. However my 18month old was not interested in the slightest. It was painful - the whole weekend was just trying and it didn't work for him. So many tears, so not worth it. To be fair he was not showing any signs of being interested in the first place. So any who - thank you very much from my husband I - we are so proud of our two year old!!!!

This method worked for my 22 month old son. Day 3 went well. Day 4 was almost as if he regressed then he woke up Day 5 and it was smooth sailing from there. Took about 9 days for him to start telling me. 3 weeks in now and he doesn't have accidents anymore and will tell me when he has to go. Also on Day 2 he started waking up dry at naps and ever since then he's slept no diaper at naps. We've also had 3 full nights of him waking up dry !

This really encouraged me to train my toddler and here we are day 1 and she’s telling me she needs to go to the restroom. This was after what seemed like 10 visits to the bathroom every 15 mins. When she started to become resistant in going, I knew something was going on. It did start off with a couple drops and then she felt confident to fully use the restroom. Be persistent and consistent!

I just wanna thank you for this video, your method really works. I would recommend anyone to take the advice from this video. We struggled to potty train my son and the nursery was saying that he wasn't ready and that we are forcing him if we try to get him to use the toilet at this stage, but after watching this video and applying it to teach him, after day one he now asks to use the toilet and uses it. My wife and I are truly thankful for your advice, God bless you and your family. 🤗

I know this video is old but I came to KZbin to find something that can help my oldest toddler. He just started saying words related to the bathroom so I’ve been trying to train him and while I was watching this video he had an accident but as I was trying to catch his accident he went number two in the toilet instead. So he had a lot of praise and I hope this three day toilet training helps him out. Thanks for the video.

Hi everyone, I just did this method the past four days with my 18-month-old and thought I'd let you know how it went. Day One: Rough. He didn't want to sit on the potty and would cry and fight. Figured out that he was scared of falling in, put our portable toddler-sized potty seat on, and it went much better. By the end of the day, when he would have an accident, it would just be a little dribble and then he would look down at it and stop. Day Two: Lots of accidents, didn't want to sit on the potty at all. Resorted to distracting him with books and songs. Peed in the potty way more on day two than on day one, but by the end of the day I didn't feel like any real progress was made and I was super discouraged and wanted to give up. Day Three: We decided to repeat day two and in the morning he had three accidents and three successes. In the afternoon though, he began to say pee pee frequently and we took him every time. No accidents and he even went poo in the potty! So far on Day Four he says pee pee and poo poo a lot and hasn't had any accidents. Lots of false alarms, but I'd rather go to the bathroom with him a lot than have to change diapers. Also, he says pee-pee and then runs away because he likes the chase. It's pretty cute. Makes the last three days worth it. It was HARD. And TIRING. But tbh, not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

She so far is pee trained!!! She is 19 months old! We are correctly working on poop training though but that’s ok! (She does still have to wear a pull-up because of the poop) She even told me while we were at a restaurant eating and holding herself! So we ran to the potty there and she went. I was so proud! Your tips were SO helpful for me to successfully train my 26 month old last weekend. The BIGGEST thing was to keep it positive and fun and NO shaming her for accidents no matter how frusterating it gets. We celebrated every bit of pee and poo that got in the potty even after she started to soil herself and you should have seen her face light up with joy. She eventually learned to stop peeing when she felt it start and not long after she stopped herself before any came out at all and she would even go to the bathroom on her own with out telling me!

@@taylorsutphen I never replied omg but he just had a revaluation & said he wasn’t on the spectrum that he was just delayed. They diagnosed my son at 2/3 with autism bcuz of his speech delay so bcuz of that diagnosis he got help. They just said he’s behind and needs extra help with learning & understanding. He’s just slower than most at this point. He’ll be starting school next month so I’m scared of how he’ll do because he does speak in gibberish sometimes & can’t understand or comprehend some things. For instance if someone’s bullying him he won’t be able to relay that to me. You can ask him if so and so hit him & he’ll say yes when in fact no one hit him so I’m hoping being at school and around kids will help 😭
