My wife and I visited Alaska in 2023, and the best drive for us was from Delta Junction to Glenallen to Palmer. We can never forget the views we were presented with :)

We understand this completely! When we first arrived in Alaska, we drove from Tok to Anchorage, and that drive blew us away. We knew right then and there it was going to be difficult to leave Alaska.

Excellent video. Does the Worthington parking lot allow overnight camping?
@ArtWeThereYet11 ай бұрын
Actually….no. I actually thought about that when writing the script, that using the footage of us driving away when saying that would give the idea that they allow overnight parking. We didn’t have footage of driving away from Thompson Pass (where we actually slept), so we used the Worthington glacier shot instead. Doh! I shoulda written it into the script…your question is making me realize I really should have done that. Dern. Well, the good thing is we can tell you where you can park overnight, right nearby! You can park at a parking lot RIGHT at the top of Thompson Pass (you’ll see that spot coming up two episodes from now). The views are epic there. Lots of truck campers and vans parked there for the night. It’s just five minutes up the road from Worthington Glacier headed towards Valdez.

We’ll be heading south from Seward in mid April, but we’ll be exploring the south part of Alaska until early July when we are planning to be entering the Yukon.

😬so far! 3 day road trip?!!?
@ArtWeThereYet11 ай бұрын
Yep! The drive can be done in about 5.5 hours if you drive it straight, but we did it in 3 days. That way we got to spend time at some of the beautiful places we show in the video: Matanuska Glacier, the Copper River Valley, Worthington Glacier, and Keystone Canyon.

A very irrelevant comment, there is a product called "sno seal" for those leather boots you were wearing, it's made with bee's wax, works better than anything else I've tried.
