I am always so amazed that anyone can understand a word the auctioneer says, obviously an acquired skill for both him and the bidders! Yes, definitely a vid when you get around to the 4WD Ford tractor, everyone loves being in on guessing what the issue(s) is before the C&C team brings it back to working life - a bit like, - is it a new windscreen for the 650J as a result of flying remote cars and did poor old Mason get the blame (again) ?......lol

@@paulprigge1209. Competition brings out the “stupid” in people. I’ve seen things sold at auctions for more than their new price. That said, I’ve also got some good deals at them. Set your limit and stick to it is the trick.

That’s a nice machine Matt bought and will serve him well. Keep seeing little snippets of it in videos and asking him when he’s gonna show it off on the channel but nothing yet lol. Can’t wait to get his thoughts on having a “nice machine”. Just a newer machine he doesn’t have to tinker with because I like all his resurrection content.

Hi, Love the auction video's and seeing you finding good stuff. Will be good to see how the little tractor makes out. Once upon a time in the 90s. I was operating a Cat D4 not sure of the model, but it developed a problem when it got warm where it slowed a felt under load, would not push. but when it cooled down it was ok again until the oil got warm. Took them a while to figure it out, turned out to be crack in torque converter allowing the torque case to fill with oil as the scavenger pump could not keep up. It was a strange one that had them scratching their heads for a while lol

The Ford tractor for sure. It's at least close to something I could afford. I do have a early 70's Yard Man garden tractor with the Eaton Hydrostatic drive. It slowly lost reverse until it will only creep in low range on hard surface now. I took it apart hoping to find bad seals or something I could replace. Looks like brand new inside and I haven't been able to find any repair kits anywhere. I think it needs the acceleration check valves but they have to be destroyed to get them out so I just put it back together and hoping to someday to find parts before I work on it again. New drives available mostly in UK but are way too pricey for me.
