Our road trip through Morocco took us from Asilah to Chefchaouen.
Our video starts a bit unconventionally as we planned to stop in Tetouen, but everything ended up being closed down for a national holiday. After hours with no bathroom break, we were thrilled to find a restaurant open at a gas station, so we'll give you a peak into what to expect from establishments as you drive through the country.
Finally, arriving in the blue pearl of Morocco, Chefchaouen quickly stole our hearts. Breathtaking views, the friendliest locals, so much to see, and so much to do!
Day 1 we got settled in,got used to the layout of the town, and even met up with an old friend (love you, Joe!) Ate lunch with our feet in the river at Ras El Maa Waterfall, and drank more orange juice than we could measure.
Day 2 we swam all morning, ate the best crepes, and spent the day wandering the medina and enjoying the magnificent craft work around every corner.
Day 3 we hiked to the Spanish mosque after a slow morning and enjoyed treats at dusk before preparing for our day 4 hike to the falls

We loved our apartment and the host in Chefchaouen. We had arranged parking, and breakfast was included, plus he took us to swim at the pool from his other property.

If anyone tells you a few hours in the city of Chefchaouen is enough they are robbing you of an amazing experience in this unique and welcoming place. Definitely consider staying at least 2 days.
