@MrSTravelQuest Жыл бұрын
@@loriivm Hey Lori, here's a breakdown. The most expensive thing will be flights. If you plan ahead you can get tickets from $600-$800. The second most expensive thing is accomodations (hotels). You can stay at an AirBnb for $110-$200 a night. Hotels cost a little more, but your right in the city. We met some folks who did hostels, they are brave! They spent $10-$20 per night. The last thing is transportations. Uber from the airport will be between 25-40 Euros. If you take the bus from Dublin airport to the Dublin city Centre it's 2-8 Euros, depending on what company you use. We walked most of the city, but the best way to get around was on bus. It's between 1-2 Euros. Food in Dublin cost more than other places we visited in Ireland. You can spend 12-20 Euros per meal. If you have any other questions please let me know. I'm from the north west of England, never been over to Ireland but always wanted to visit. ive always somehow felt a connection to it which was confirmed on my Dads side after a DNA test. I will get there one day, One worry i have though when looking at places to visit is access as im a wheelchair user, some places look a bit iffy but im sure i would manage. I have a feeling if i do visit that i wont want to come home lol

You will love it! We already planning to re-visit. Most of Dublin looks wheel chair accessible. I was impressed with the accommodation they had in place at all the museums and tours we took. I hope you get to visit, it’s a beautiful country.

Is there another Dublin than the one in Ireland? :))
@MrSTravelQuest Жыл бұрын
Dublin Texas, not the same though :-)

I mean, you do have Rome, NY and Athens, Georgia and who knows what other little towns. But you don't have to say Dublin, Ireland. :)) Everyone knows what you're referring to. :) I'm not saying it to be mean, I just thought it's funny.

I'm not Irish either, by the way. :)

Is Ireland still part of the EU? Can I easily move to and work in Ireland with Italian Citizenship?
@MrSTravelQuest Жыл бұрын
Ireland is part of the EU, don’t know how that works with migrating from another country.

Ireland has a serious housing issue.
@AnotherGayGuy2 ай бұрын
@ML-ov7wo Yes, absolutely you could. However, as a poster here said, housing is a dire problem in Dublin - it is both very expensive and very difficult to find a place to live, even if you find a job. Finding a place to live - and leaving where you're living - can be very difficult.

We planned to do that, but decided to do the bus tour to see sites outside of Dublin. Next time we visit that’s the top thing on my list to see.
