Nice and aesthetic video! ✨ May I know your exact travel dates? We're also planning to visit the Kansai region this mid-March, with side trips in Kyoto 🙏🏽 Thank you!

Thank you! I was in Kyoto from the 17th of march til the 20th. In 2024, the Japanese government forecast an early sakura season but it turned out not to be the case so only the early sakura was around (the ones in the video). The Japan Meteorological Corporation releases the forecast each year in Jan to give you an idea of when peak season will be (but it’s not always right!) I dont think its been released yet, so keep an eye out for it 😊

@ tysm for replying! i will wait for the forecast. manifesting to see blooms even it’s just like the ones in your vid. 🥹 I already added the same spot you’ve been to in our itinerary 🌸🤍

No worries and I’m sure you’ll see some - it just depends on what mood they’re in as to which ones will bloom 😂😂 have fun!!

Hey nice video :) I also want to visit japan in early march. Can you tell me which days you were in Japan? I want to travel in early march to see plums and early cherry blossoms. Is that possible?

Generally speaking, early March is too late for most plums and too early for most cherry blossoms BUT you’ll still find some places that will have them because there are so many versions and it depends completely on the weather🌸 however, most (not all!) plum blossom festivals will be over and hanami season wont have started. i went from the 16th of March to the 26th of March as blossoms were supposed to be early in 2024 (they’re usually early April) due to unusually warmer weather so it should have been peak season however there was a cold spell in early March in Japan and only the early variety of sakura were around (kawazu zakura). I think if thats the only time you can get off work, then go! But be prepared to travel to find the blossoms (I recommend Japan-Guide.com as they have a plum blossom/cherry blossom page they update in real-time during the season with how the blossoms are blooming at different parks). Also keep an eye out as the Japanese government announces the official bloom dates each year (it usually happens in January) however keep in mind that its not always accurate! (Like in 2024 😂). I hope this helps!

@@apicturesquelife Thank you very much for your detailed answer :). I will probably fly to japan at the beginning of the 2nd week of march and stay there for 14 days. In the end you just have to hope that you are lucky with the flowering and the weather, I suppose. Nevertheless, I've heard that Japan is beautiful at any time of year. Even if there are few cherry blossoms to be seen. So I'll be looking forward to my vacation :D

@@Sean-xp3so I think that should be enough time to see some cherry blossoms - especially if you're in Kyoto as the further south you go, the earlier the blossoms 🌸
