Sorry, but this is the only way that I can think of getting your attention but your sensors are only on the truck and you have three sensors. Do you have one on the front axle year tires one on the front rear axle which is your forward drive axle and one on your rear drive axle so when it says forward rear axle that means your front drive axle.

Alright so a few things for ya. 1. Adding fuel doesn’t transfer any weight from the trailer onto your truck. It simply adds weight on your drives and steer. Trailer weight will be the same. 2. Axle temperature gauges read the oil for your drive axle to let you know if it’s overheating. Has nothing to do with your brakes at all and definitely nothing to do with your trailer. 165 degrees is absolutely fine. I do heavy haul and I’ve had mine up to almost 300. That’s when you need to be concerned.

15:25 forward rear axle temp is the temperature of the gear oil in your front drive axle and rear axle oil temp is the temperature of the gear oil in your rear drive axle. Each drive axle has its own oil temp sensor. You should see a sensor on the rear of each differential.

As a Heavy-Duty mechanic, we work on a lot of customers' trucks and heavy equipment. Some customers come in for a single tire replacement but if you are going to change one tire, you better change everything. That's how it works in the shop (I guess, not all shop but most of the shops up here in Canada do work like that). If you are replacing a brake, you going to replaced both side. I guess what I'm trying to say is, everything will be replaced in a pair. 😅

Alex not sure if you know but coming up soon is the Nationwide 48 Hour DOT Blitz where all states spend 48 consecutive hours trying to crackdown on driver and company violations. Dude who told you to ride your brakes going down a mountain? You only need your jakes and the occasional stab. You are going to end up killing someone. If you cant get 1000+ miles off of one full fill up then you are driving horribly. It doesn’t matter if your tandems have more weight than your drives as long as your 34k or less. You don’t get fuel and add weight when you are pulling a lot of weight through mountains because you’ll get worse fuel mileage. I think you need to be retrained. Any not bots on here, don’t do what he does

I don’t understand why you worried about fueling with half a tank and your weights being legal. If you have a load of 39000 you can be fully fueled and still have room to work with. With a Cascadia and dry van you can haul approximately 45,000 lb load and still be under 80,000 if they load it right. Slide the tandems to make sure your drives and trailer tandems are under 34,000 and roll. Weigh stations are just making sure your total is under 80,000 and your under the 34,000 on your tandems and drives.

Good maintenance is byfar your best friend when it comes to anything mechanical, a couple extra hours to make sure everything works properly during a tire change can save you days of downtime later on! Maintenance is key, it seems like down time but it saves time. Imagine yourself in a situation where you have actually get on the brakes and cook em to keep from getting in a wreck but your aircans aren't working on your trailer, or shear the connecting pins making your trailer brakes inoperable, that's more distance it takes you to stop

Yeah usually if you fall below the minimum speed which will be posted “minimum speed 40” all that aside it’s definitely a Courtesy check and a liability issue if you are going up a steep grade and someone rear ends you. If another driver rear ends you and you did not have your 4 ways on I think you would be at fault. It is your responsibility to have them on and warn other drivers of your presence and speed.

Also on 2023 freightliner remember between from line to line is roughly 100 miles depending on your weight ect so a full tank u can go 800 miles. Fuel light comes on u can another 100 miles before your completely empty.

Sometimes depends on how far the pickup tube reaches into the tank, there's a point when low it could start sucking air it's always Best keep the fuel above 1/4 mark or even 1/2 especially in winter time
