Thanks for the trip down memory lane…I grew up in OC, MD. There used to be an incredible flounder fishery in the bays…sadly as you saw, almost none remain…a tiny potato chip sized flounder here or there. Super sad…but I still love that town. Blessed to have had such an incredible childhood in an incredible place. Oh and Bahia Marina…I spent countless hours there as a kid. Actually they sent in a number of fish citations for me back in the day🎣🤙🏻 Need to get back soon…live on the California coast now. Love the channel…this was a special treat for me…tight lines🎣🍻🤙🏻

@@Chill_Vibezzz They were always at the mouth of the Chesapeake…in much greater numbers than today. The fisheries have been decimated by decades of overfishing. Private and commercial. Sad, but it’s just a reality. The weakfish are finally making a comeback, in some places. Maybe someday the flounder will also return. Probably not in my lifetime but we can hope 🎣🤞🏻

@@ravenfan1606 no captains have been able to catch anything either. Been on 5 different charters. From small ones to 2500 a day ones and never catch anything. It’s all trolling and I hate to troll. Like an expensive boat ride. I like down south fishing. Bottom fishing. Drop the line, click it over and pull. Catch trash can full of grouper, snapper, cobia, kingfish , jewfish, and everything in between. Just don’t have any of that fishing around ocean city. Trolling is very hit or miss. Also when trolling if you hang a fish the dang boat just pulls the fish and you aren’t even fighting it. You are fighting pulling it through the water. So I guess the people charting for a living need to learn how to catch fish because they are the ones not hooking me up.
