I thought I would be tired of trains by the end of this, but it was the opposite. Turns out I really needed this time to do nothing and recharge- It was a great journey for me. Get your Shokz headphones in InMotion Stores!

Sorry I definitely would have reported that employee to supervisor or definitely called Amtrak. They should NOT be permitted to yell at a passenger who did nothing wrong. If it were for employees then post a sign on the table where everyone can see it. No excuse for that kind of behavior and then he said you disrespected him? WTF 😳😡

Yeah it was truly bizarre. I did actually report him because his behavior was unacceptable. I never heard back from Amtrak though

@@CountingCountries You messed with the CONDUCTOR'S paperwork, and apparently his coffee cup... I don't know how the British treat their train conductors, but in America the conductor is the king or queen onboard the train. The boss! With the authority to boot you off the train in the middle of nowhere... Never, ever move anyone's stuff in America, no one likes their stuff being shifted. NO ONE!!! The truth is when sitting in the diner the procedure is to wait for the waiter to sit you at a table. No wonder the CONDUCTOR lost his cool, nitwit... Your people skills are ZERO POINT SHIT...

YES!! I LOVE the longer trip videos because of the scenery and longer experiences with a different vibe and a cross country trip on a train is on my bucket list. So thanks for your perspective and expertise! Love your videos so much and always look forward to when you upload to see what you got into this time, haha. Be safe and I look forward to seeing your next adventure! 🎉

As always dude, your videos are awesome. I would love to see you do The Ghan in Australia. The history of the train alone is just a phenomenal subject to research. I know you don't drink, but even the winery region is worth the views alone, let alone the barren outback stretches.

If you ever get the chance come to Australia and try the Indian Pacific, which goes from Sydney to Perth. A distance of 4352 kilometres. Or the Ghan that travels from Adelaide to Darwin a distance of 2979 kilometres. I enjoyed watching your video. What a great way to travel across America. The scenery is amazing especially through the Rockies. This is definitely something my wife and I would love to do this one day, if we can get to America.

Not to sound like one of those nit-picky know-it-alls, but I believe the Moffat Tunnel is the third longest train tunnel in the US. The longest and second longest are the Cascade Tunnel and Flathead Tunnel, respectively, both on the Empire Builder. The Moffat is indeed the highest in the US though. Happy travels, love the video!!! :-)

Thanks, I'm 6'3" too, with more of an offensive lineman's build. I'll be taking my first Amtrak sojourn next month. From St. Paul a coach seat on the Empire Builder, as it's during the day. I am Canadian and I got to admit that I am spoiled by VIA Rail... The Canadian that travels from Toronto Ontario to Vancouver B.C. seems like a totally different league of train compared to Amtrak... From the meal service where the menu changes on a daily basis to the dome cars/observation cars.. Awesome showers, bar car, and train staff that are the best... Still Amtrak does look like an interesting adventure... and it's on my bucket list...
@ronclark97243 ай бұрын
Unfortunately VIA does not run the Canadian with a daily service, it is more like a land cruise service at a much higher fare price... Once a week or twice a week service isn't DAILY. VIA requires THREE train sets running the Canadian, Amtrak requires SIX train sets just for the Empire Builder, SIX more for the California Zephyr, SIX more for the Southwest Chief, and THREE train sets for the trice weekly Sunset Limited, although there is talk the Sunset Limited will return to a daily service requiring THREE more train sets. Amtrak requires many, many more train sets to run daily services...

I don’t want to ruin your excitement but Amtrak 100% doesn’t build beautiful stations those are all from the precursor(s) to Amtrak lol Moynihan Hall is new and beautiful because the State of New York wanted it to be flashy and nice (yet they wont pay for 1 damn bench) and they funded most of the project Amtrak did throw in a lot of money for that project to be fair but the other stations were beautiful way before Amtrak and i highly doubt they would have spent money in the same way unless the government was willing to fund most of it. I still will never get why the dining experience has to be so shitty east of Chicago there is no excuse to me when you remember their only money making routes are in the neglected region 😂 they can’t even be bothered to put a cafe with their microwave “meals” on the Keystone Service

@@CountingCountries Unfortunately during the pandemic the Amtrak president was the former CEO of Delta Airlines. He taught Amtrak how to ditch employees using pre-prepared microwave meals. The closest Amtrak has in the past half century towards turning a profit. Do British trains have short order cooks or chefs in their diners? Do British trains have a diner? Using plastic dishes and cups from microwave meals instantly eliminates the dishwasher and the chefs when the waiter operates the microwave oven... The airlines have doing this for decades...
