I would say that woods in Europe are safer, only people who I had encountered were other hikers and bikers, and I’ve never heard about any tragedies. It’s normal here to not walk around armed with a pepper spray for example.

The second story struck something in me. I don’t know what it was, but the thought of hearing a noise so alien that the closest thing to it is a whale’s roar completely terrifies me. Holy shit Mr. Nightmare outdid himself with this one!

@freedomdorito
@freedomdorito 2 ай бұрын
It was probably a Bigfoot, the way the noises were described matches up with what a Bigfoot is believed to sound like, a Bigfoot might mess with a trail marker to scare you off its territory, Bigfoot is believed to leave territorial markings and scratched off tree bark would make align with that belief, also alleged Bigfoot activity has caused towns to be abandoned such as Portlock Alaska

For the second story, it could be an Aztec death whistle, it's loud as hell and sounds a mix between human and animal. They used to be used by the Aztec warriors to basically scare the crap out of their opponents when going into battle. For being able to blow through it for that long while running the whistle uses almost no air to produce such a loud noise and the person might have had some contraption that could push the air through the whistle without them having to actually blow through it.

I’ve heard about Dudley town, most of the people around supposedly say they have no idea why people say it’s dead silent, they hear all kinds of animals. It’s history says people “go insane” there; it’s blown out of proportion but it doesn’t get a lot sun, which affects vitamin D and what not, so it might explain why people felt the place was evil.

@@jorgepais2876 Agreed! Camping stories are my favorite ones honestly. I've heard a few that's said the same about their tires. Idk why they don't think the car will not drive. Best advice for hiking in random places..... DON'T. you never know what's out there and you have a good chance of getting lost (no matter how experienced you are). If you do happen to find yourself out in the middle of nowhere and lost, pick a direction and walk that way (preferably, turn around and go back the way you came, obviously) it sounds stupid and obvious but you would be surprised how panic can make you forget simple things.
@Skylerdouglas731

@@cheesefries7436 you are correct, staying in one spot is definitely the best option, if you know someone is looking for you, if no one knows you're missing, chances are that people will not start looking for you from anywhere around a couple hours to possible days. In which case it's actually better to keep moving (yes there is a chance you could get even more lost, but there is also the chance you find something that looks familiar and find your way back) and, as these stories showed, you never know what or more importantly WHO could be out there with you.

Creepy asf and the noise he used for that whistle/howl sound was atmospheric and truly creepy. Would LOVE to hear more New England stories-- it could be a cool new thing for this channel to do regionally themed videos, ie stories from the South, Pacific Northwest, Midwest, New England etc. Thank you so much for the years of great entertainment and scares, Mr. Nightmare 🖤

As for the first story, I’m from Utah and it’s well known that the local Ute tribe don’t like people going into those mountains. It’s not Ute reservation territory, but there is a lost gold mine in the area that some of them are protective of. People have gone missing there looking for it before.

And to clarify, I’m not saying ALL Utes would do this just that some of them view the Uintah range as their personal property (even though it isn’t) and most definitely slash tires and run people off.

I think that story was very likely bullshit. The cop just happened to be patrolling in such a distant area just in time to save him? And sure Mormons may seem a bit odd, but they're not too bad despite the stereotypes. They're just another religion. I live very close to that trail, and it's just like every other stretch of land in that area: uneventful. Word would get around. Everything was too streamlined and convenient, like a fictional story.

Erm, I'm a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (AKA "Mormon") living in Utah and huge fan of the channel. Just wanted to put this out there: I'm equally freaked out at the prospect of white-dressed individuals chasing the first guy and anyone doing that is not affiliated in a good-faith way with our religion -- so it made me laugh that the writer connects them. I don't think anyone loves unfounded concepts tied to their culture / religion. So I wanted to offer that connection, and ask for my fellow fans' respect. Thanks all!
