Hey I noticed Nick was demonstrating a fill. It was double stroke. He called it a liner fill. I thought liner was just single strokes adding the bass drum here and there. Am I way off or could you maybe explain if you can about how liner is supposed to be exacuted? Thanks

Double stroke rolls are easy to play fast when using a pad or an electric kit, but i can't get much power with it - any tips?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, Edward. Absolutely. Double strokes (and other rudiments) do get easier with practice time. I’ve found that the best way to practice double strokes is on a softer surface so that you have to work harder for the second stroke. Something like the RTOM Moongel pad works well: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WP7--rtom-moongel-workout-pad-7-inch Also, to get them more even, try inverting the double strokes. Instead of RRLLRRLL, try RLLRRLLRR. The cool thing about that is that it puts more focus on the second stroke of the double. Once you build up speed, you can tell that your double stroke roll will be more even. I hope this helps.
