My dad taught me this but if you add Bulgarian butter milk (best most creamy) instead of water it makes the cake sooo so moist. We love a moist cake. And don’t over do it, add small amounts until you get proper cake batter consistency. Might not work for every cake batter but love it for vanilla chocolate and red velvet
