I don't wanna say that the Squirrel's kit is better than the Rat's but it's nice that the primary projectiles' arc is less severe. She's much more consistent at hitting all the flying enemies and even can ground them with the acorn bomb.

One thing to note about Team-Ups: The "Anchor" does not actually need the other hero(es) to get their passive buff. Scarlet Witch has her damage buff all season, even if there is not a Magneto on her team. Magneto does need Scarlet Witch to get his sword ability though.

@@catnepz no don't twist it until it fits your narrative, it's genuinely absurd not being able to read what an ability does and watch someone for 10 minutes reading it for you, it takes more time to look it up on KZbin than actually read it for 30s, I get it looking up for advanced techs is valid cause not everyone is a gamer and good at figuring this stuff out but reading what an ability does is very basic and if you feel the need to look up what's something does rather than read it for few seconds you need help.

If you have a dash available on rocket and jeff is jumping off the map with you in his mouth, look up and back at the edge of the map and spam the dash. Jeff has failed to kill me as rocket in this way ever since i figured this out. Seems to work 100% of the time. Prob works with any character that has an air mobility option.

Not mentioned in this video, but two of the Strategist picks, Luna Snow and Jeff, have a team-up ability. Jeff activates an ability to get increased damage and a slight slowdown, while I believe Luna gets increased healing

Hey there, new player here who's trying to get into the game (my friends all play it now) but having trouble figuring it all out. I really appreciate how clearly you lay out each character's game plan here! Gives me a better idea of how each of them works and who I should actually be testing out as a noob (had no idea Magneto, Strange and Rocket were on the easier end of characters, for example) Thank you so much for this! I was feeling super demotivated about the game cuz I kept rushing into battle without knowing what I was doing (and dying a lot), but this makes me feel confident enough to try the game again. 👍

If you're still demotivated, try playing Cloak and Dagger! They both have autoaim weapons that don't require much accuracy, and teammates will appreciate your constant healing as Dagger if you simply hold down the trigger. Best of luck :)

A tip for Groot's ult; place a Thorn wall near where you're going to ult then toss his cluster into the ult. Strange's dark magic also cannot be increased and rapidly decreases if it stays capped for the 3 seconds (even the teamup with Hulk is active)

5:02 I’m pretty sure the dmg boost is just in general this season not from the team up. This is because for Groots team up where he has a +150 hp bonus he still has it whether he has a Jeff/Rocket on his team or not.

Also perhaps missed opportunity to talk about Punisher's turret mode -- it puts a gold border frame around his health to indicate that he's fortified (like Overwatch's Orisa). He can't be CC'd at all (including swallowed by Jeff's ult) during that fortification.

I would swap out Squirrel for Hawkeye. Squirrel attacks actually require aiming or geometry as you stated, but Hawkeye’s abilities are all bigger than her squirrel trap acorn, with his ult creating shadows of the enemy so you don’t even have to worry about a moving target.

Maybe Quicksilver could be a dualist or a strategist Like imagine a team of Cyclops and Beast as vanguards, Ice-Man and Storm (or Wolverine) as dualists, Jean Grey and Angel as strategists (that’s like, the OG comic team! + an extra dualist) Vs Magneto and Blob Vanguards, Avalanche and Pyro or Scarlett Witch dualists, Toad and Quicksilver or some other brotherhood villain That would be sick Or the Avengers vs famous Avengers villains Cap and Thor or Hulk, BW or Hawkeye and Iron Man, we def need other strategist avengers Antman as a vanguard and Wasp as a strategist would be cool Vs like… Red Hulk? Small correction. Scarlet witch ultimate doesn't do damage. It's an instant delete to anyone with line of site but you can break los with terrain groot's walls strange shield, probably other tank shields but I haven't tested them all but it will instanta kill anyway regardless of health. I've seen penny & groot who can be buffed to over 1k health to die to it.

You get 2 characters for 1 choice its insane :D... besides the Combination with Moon Knight is freaking awesome ^_^. Btw Moon Knight counters all the Corner Campers with a 100% efficiency so Marvel Rivals did a great Job on developing this char.👍🏻

i mean iron man? he very much just have aoe plasma balls and a beam, and most melee characters have ver forgiving hitboxes, but they hard because you know you are fighting with fists against people that shoot with guns and magic so there is that

Missed two things. Jeff also combos with snow and his projectyle gets strong. With punisher his smoke also gives walls for a time if the enemy is direct hit. (unless both have changed from the beta, haven't checked yet)

rocket is not an easy hero, his re spawn beacon and ult both have hp so bad positioning can waste it; his primary is one of the hardest to consistently land, and his healing can be hard to use because it slows down to heal so i may get stuck on someone before it reaches your target.

i really dont recomend groot to new players, as his ability to block sight lines near him often leads to supports and duelists time, pressure and value to your missplays. if you wanna play him, fine go for it he is fair like all vanguard, but like please do practice game first so you can kinda get to grips with how to not gimp your own team. i also would not recommend luna or rocket to new supports, luna kit requires that you actually hit the targets, that you are able to use her kit to cover a better heal radious and her ult disables her ability to fight in a team fight, i rather put mantis in her spot. rocket is way to weak currently and new players will mess up his revive, gun vs heal issue not to mention his lacking healing...i rather say go jeff or adam warlock for the same style. and ofcourse play what ever, but like i mention these stuff as i think a new player may find texmp rocket to be awful to play just because his kit is not really up to snuff. simular happens with storm whos kit is anti synergistic but her ability to be a anchor dps should not be underestimated, she may be a blunt knife thanks to poor desgine but she can still beat you to death. oh and dr strange portal crashes peoples games even on good riggs, its depends on how its built...so i wouldn't recommend it either..but again go for it new players everything is somewhat valid and some stuff i wont mention are over tuned. 5/6 heroes i feel would need a addressing within the games lifespan. hf

I really wish they added role queue. Hardly anybody wants to pick vanguard or strategist. In most cases you'll lose the match if you're missing out on these roles. Overwatch had no role queue to begin with but they realised that didn't work so they added it. I hope they realise this.

roll Q is bad game design its limiting and its too early let people have fun with whatever the game been out for 2 days everyone sucks its still a learning phase, and the devs said they dont want it in their game, and to encourage people to play supports and tanks they made them fun and unique and the main thing is having team ups, team ups will be the the thing that makes team comps in the future and will shape the meta for now this season 0 will have no balance or meta just have fun learn the game season 1 when the game really launches

I also haven't had a vanguard in 90% of my games and we get rolled. It does limit but if I have to choose between limited and 6 dps comps I know which I'm choosing

I tried the game out shortly yesterday. IDK if it just will take a while to learn the game but I found the fights to be a bunch of 1v1s. Too many skills/cool downs really makes it feel like too much. The hero selection wheel is very annoying to cycle through with all hero types open. I couldn't for the life of me find a way to do a private vc, I was always thrown to team vc. I don't think MR will really steal players from OW but its a cool alternative especially for Marvel fans.

I would disagree with groot as a beginner tank. It's a easy to learn, hard to master type situation. A bad groot can definitely lose you the game, walling out allies, etc. Venom is a better easy tank to recommend.
