Love that "bubble" effect! I have seen a lot of videos where they use actual bubbles placed on top of the white to create that same effect but this seems so much easier! Also, the real bubbles leave a rough surface on the nails as apposed to the smoother effect

I do my marbles a bit differently. I put the colors I want to use on my palette touching one another, then I use my dotting tool to pick up the colors and swirl and drag them on the nail. It works really well for me that way, and my marbles come out awesome.

Wow I should have waited till I finished the video to pick a favorite..I LOVE THEM ALL BUT THE GLITTER PRESS IS MY FAVORITE 💙.. and you are so sweet and informative.. and I am LOVING your top and the head wrap is beyond cute.. I wear head wraps constantly bc I am insecure about some sun damage on my forehead from tanning way to much and using the tingle stuff on my face along with the facial tanner that you can also turn on 🤦🏼‍♀️.. Do you have a video on how to avoid losing nail shape when using gel polish? Like when you use multiple gel polish layers it kind of lessens the nails coffin shape...if that makes sense?

I would recommend thinner coats to try and keep your shape tight. some gel polishes do it worse than others

Love the designs as always!! Melissa’s nails always look beautiful! The only thing I don’t like is Melissa touching the nails without gloves on. I totally understand pressing the glitter down to not get any rough bits but it’s things like this that I used to do that overexposed me to gel and now I have allergies.

I really appreciate you guys going into pricing a lot more recently. I think as a newer nail techs we're afraid to charge extra for nail art work. I think it's good to charge 2$ per colour/glitter since it is a lot of extra time to start with, and maybe when you are faster you can charge more. My mum always says get what you pay for, so if you value your own skill clients that appreciate your craft will come your way

I know this is acrylic but if you're doing polygel should you still put the protein bond on before putting gel polish on top?

We don’t use poly gel. We use synergy hard gel. Yes, you totally put protein bond down before you apply gel polish. You could get away with not doing it but, Protein Bond does aid in bonding the gel polish to to the enhancement.

Hi how do I get some parts to be matte and others shiny like you were talking about in the first design? How would I get some matte and rest not? Sorry I’m new and learning so thank you for this 🥰

In the design, she applies the white gel polish but didn't apply a top coat over it until after putting the dots on. If you were to jus wipe the tacky surface after doing the dots (without applying a top coat), the white area will look more matte than shiny since it doesn't have a top coat over it. The dots are done with top coat, so they will be shiny. The white won't be completely matte like it would be with a matte top coat, but it won't be as shiny as the dots.

Would this work with any top coat for the bubbles? For example Mani Q matte over a shiny color? Kind of switch it up a little.

When placing the bubbles, we recommend any top coat that has a thinner viscosity and will self level. So you can definitely experiment with different colors/top coats to see what you like.
