I have a huge problem, so I need to replace one of the ingredients. I am allergic to limes, lemons, oranges, grapefruits, tangerines since almost 12 years ago. I am still in different treatments, because it's not only that, also seafood, and peanuts. I miss them. I got bitten by a poison spider. How can I replace the lime, etc. Seafood, no problem, I can use other meats. I love your recipes, so can you help me with your ideas and experiences, please? Thank you, you are the best.

Over an hour to cook spaghetti squash in the oven is too much. That is going to be near mush. I like to do more in the 40-50 minute range and have much more texture left in it. If you place the cut side down it will steam itself and cook quicker, but will not release as much water which will make the flavor more intense. Stuff looks great I must say. I gotta stop watching and start making this stuff for the week.

@@noreply65 I would suggest that you look at vinegars to replace your citrus allergy. It is acidity that they bring in most dishes. You can find all types of different flavored vinegar to add different flavors. It is not a perfect match, but will help out tons. You can use sesame seeds to replace peanuts or if you are only allergic to peanuts then try replacing with macadamia nuts, cashews, almonds, or hazelnuts. All those make great nut butter or garnishes. Further more you can help your citrus issue by using herbs to add complex or similar flavors. Lemon grass is fragrant with a slight citrus aroma and I grow it in my house... Coriander seed(cilantro seed) has a citrus flavor and is delicious in rice dishes. There is lemon balm and lemon basil that have a citrus aspect to them too. Grow them in a pot during the summer and dry for the rest of the year. Fresh oregano is one of the most amazing things and doesn't compare to dry stuff. Middle Eastern spice shops have anything you can want, I suggest Sumac or Za'atar. Personally I think Cumin can make anything better and cinnamon in savory dishes is my new love. Remember that herbs and vinegar will not add to your calorie or macros on a dish, but swaps for peanuts may not be an exact match nutritionally.

This is gold. Thank you so much. I watch keto recipes all the time but rarely have been motivated or excited enough to comment. I really needed something delicious but also somehow different to spice up my keto meals. This is perfect for autumn. I’m on week 3 and had run out of inspiration till I saw this because you end up eating a lot of the same stuff at the beginning - in my case it was a heavy omelette and chicken rotation with random veggies. And I love that the ingredients are all natural and aren’t crazy special , all stuff I can easily find here in Istanbul (talk about the internet bringing people closer) . Thanks!!

3 things. First, that tip of using the rolling pin to help cut the spaghetti squash is off the chain! What a perfect way to make the cutting easier! Second, until now I have only cooked the squash open side down on a sheet pan with water. Roasting it with olive oil makes it so much better! It brings out the flavor so much better! Third, I did a chicken thigh, mushroom , Alfredo with crushed red pepper on mine. So good!!

If you want long full strands from the squash the trick is to cut it crosswise, it will give you longer strands when you scoop it out with the fork 🙂 Another tip too is if you are using foil it's best to use parchment first then because the lemon will cause the tin to leech into the food, also gives it a different taste.

I just learned that if you cut some slits across the top and microwave the squash for 5 minutes it is very easy to cut in half. Just need to let it cool slightly first. . I will be making everyone of these recipes. Thanks Bobby.

I do a "half n half" method to cook it if I'm pressed for time. Some time in the micro, some time in the oven. About 7min in the micro and a half hour in the oven. I can't do all micro the texture is lousy. When I do all oven I actually do it cut side down so it steams a little and it cooks faster. Then for the last 20 minutes cut side up to dry it out a bit. I do this for butternut squash too. Great video as always, can't wait to try the recipes, especially the shrimp one. I never met a shrimp I didn't like😀

If I may pitch in about the spaghetti squash... There's a lot of spaghetti squash in there. Use olive oil liberally (you didn't really drizzle, more of a pour, but I'd suggest even more). Same with the salt and pepper. When done, throw in plenty of parmesan.

I always bake mine with red pepper flakes to get rid of the sweet taste of squash. We fill a glass dish with cooked spaghetti squash then cover it with sauce, cheese, pepperoni, green peppers, onions. Bake for 20 mins on 400. Pizza squash. Or cover with fried chicken strips from cheap store and cover with sauce and mozzarella, chicken parm.

Hi F, Delicious recipe. I simply use spaghetti sauce on top of my spaghetti squash. I boil my spaghetti squash halves to loosen up the strands. And I mix the spaghetti sauce into the squash with a pinch of salt/pepper/garlic powder then topped with shredded cheese, then, tomatoes; then bake 350 in oven 45 minutes. Mmm good.

I pressure cook my SS. 7-10 minutes depends on the size. No poking holes in it and the seeds seperate from the stringy stuff amazingly easy. So, I end up roasting the seeds as well. Also, the squash completely separates from the shell so you end up using all the squash leaving only the skin behind.

Where did you buy your processor? Wow, the chicken thigh recipe and squash combo looks and sounds fantastic. I think I will try that one first. Although I do love pesto. Is there a secret to cooking it so there is no crunch to the spaghetti ? Need it to be softer like real pasta...the crunch texture freaks me out. Thanx

Bobby if you already have one out... Lol.... Well I'm sorry. 😘 I have health issues and am in an out of the hospital a lot. Because I'm terrified to to anything in result that I will put myself back in the hospital, I am trying to eat healthier. All the recipes look so good, however it would be so much easier to have a cookbook in front of me. Do you guys have any books out? I really would like to get one or multiple books! Please let me know, and where I might find them. Always lots of love!
