My mom used to arrange floral arrangements and she taught me general design rules .. use odd numbers when adding elements and how aesthetically pleasing to the eye the geometric shapes are .. triangles, squares, and rectangles.

This is a great collage and it inspires! I think I've finally figured out why I watch your channel the most. Obviously, you present interesting and creative content, but the big compliment is you aren't annoying! It sounds crazy but to me it is super important. Barbara, your calm voice, elegant hands, beautiful containers and perfect tempo make for such an enjoyable viewing experience. Thank you from North Carolina!

I love the way you added a postage stamp as a 3D-design element. I love using postage stamps in my collages and using it your way is a new interpretation to enhance my collages further. I also love using buttons on my collages, but never thought to use eyelets. Thanx for inspiring me anew. I love, love your videos. Kind regards from Centurion South Africa.

Thanks for sharing another informative and instructive video. The boon I took away was the concept of visual perspective--the diagonal lines and the triangle. From my other creative activities, I was aware of the concept of threes for cohesiveness. But the perspective of the triangle really hit me. I can see how it makes the layout looked balanced. Thanks.

Cool book! I'm definitely not a magazine girl. I get inspired by Natasha Pulley's books and covers (projects on my to do list 🙈). Yes that image is 'very Barbara '. Yes being a control freak is hard 🙈. Cut from the back? 😱 OMG you're so brave!!! Triangle rule works in painting, or 'rule of thirds' as I was taught. Top down method has kept me sane! Great spread 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

Aawww!! My favorite, the slow flip through your Journal looking for the perfect page. We all know you do that just for me since you’ve already picked out the page you want to work on. (JK) Seriously, I do love that. So many beautiful pages and memories. I enjoyed todays collage because you used larger pieces. My mind always thinks of small pieces used in a collage. I like the bigger ones on the bottom and using small ones as accent pieces. Loved this!♥️♥️♥️

Love what you did. Specially the little “soap” packet. Think I may steal that idea for something. For me the problem with Collages is, that my brain won’t always accept them unless they make sense or there is a reason. If I were to cut out some pictures, like you did my brain would simply not let me go further! I’m getting better but I still need to have a reason to collage for it to turn out ‘right’! Not sure if that makes sense!!
