I love all your Journals. The one thing I started telling myself that has helped so much is that I’m probably the only one who will see my Journal. So I agree with you there. Also, something I’ve realized is when I’m working on a page and I’m hating the way it’s going, put it away. Start something else. Come back to my hated project and I realize how beautiful it really is. I’ve just looked at it for too long. Or I feel better about continuing on with it. Thank you for reminding me of things I can use in my Journal that I probably have sitting on my desk right now. Can’t wait for part 2. 💗💞💗

If an artist is not making any mistakes, they are not growing. I found a note on the back of a drawing from early art school, 20 yrs later,and it said “Make lots of mistakes.” I found it to be very good advice.

Dear Barbara, I've watched many of your videos now, and for some reason I can't pinpoint, I really feel this one. I'm pretty sure this particular video is one that I'm going to watch many times over, for ideas and inspiration. I often wish I could just not have to work my 9-5 job, and could just craft all day. Art Glitter Glue is my all time favorite! It works on most everything. But like you, I use it sparingly because it is pricey. Glues sticks are disappointing for larger items and leave a shine when I go overboard! Hehehe! And I’ve noticed air pockets when the paper wasn’t completely covered in glue. Even though I thought it was! Lol! I haven’t tried the Liquitex matte gel, but I am ordering some now. I’ve used Yes glue too, but I must not be applying it correctly because it warps the paper too! And leaves spots 😮 that look like grease stains. I do like watering down PVC glue. I use Elmer’s because it’s easy to find in the States. It’s usually reliable. Your video was very informative, and I appreciate you sharing your experiences with us! Have a wonderful day!

25:04. Love the quote on this spot. Googled it and found a couple variations by Tom Rath and other authors. Also just occurred to me (never before) that I can have an enjoyable session of creating quotes ephemera for myself using my own hand-writing. Slow but fun - write down, ink the edges and decorate. :) Choosing the quotes alone is a fun part. I can also take pictures of the most successful creations and print them out for using in my mass productions. Parallel to that I can create a separate board in my Pinterest for the most favorite quotes to be used in Christmas and BD wishes to my family, etc. Thanks for that inspiration!!
