Doctor, I wish I knew this before. I recovered from a herniated disc last year which took months of pain, eventually I slowly started to excercise again. The minute I done crunches/sit ups it ruined my back again, its been 7 months of pain and discomfort.

Great advice!!!! My PT had me doing all these stretches for my sciatica. I got worse!!!!!!

Confused ss some therapist recommend mild stretching of the back, such as the child pose from Yoga. Maybe its less bending that is encouraged?

I did a workout yesterday that was hamstring and glute-based, and it aggrevated my sciatic nerve. Could you tell me which excersise(s) may have been the culprit? It was primarily bridges, donkey lifts, sumo squats, RDLs, and hip thrusts, with some band work as well.
