Morning mate spent many great holidays on Bodmin moor in my childhood we used to pile into dads ford Thames and he would drive us all overnight from London to freedom, we used to stay on Bodwanick farm freedom for 2 weeks, adventures, and I’m sure I can remember visiting st Neots well, thanks for the memory buddy ….. Pete 🇫🇷 pasties cure all arse snapping at the grass moments 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hi Peter. Ahh great to hear your story and glad to have stirred some memories. It happens that we went a few hundred yards from that farm today, assuming it’s the one near Lanivet. Twinks and I went for a walk in Luxulyan Valley. I’m going to return on the bike to make a video about the viaduct/aqueduct soon. Thanks Peter, all the best 👍🏼

I love local history, SB, so this vid was a pleasant surprise. Of course the West Country is steeped in history and legends. When we lived in south west France there were many ancient towns and villages in the area. These are known as 'bastide' towns and according to the indigenous population were mostly constructed by the English in the 14th century when that part of France was ruled by the English. Amazingly most of the houses are still occupied which shows that the buildings in those days were far better constructed than the rabbit hutch type crap they are throwing up nowadays in the UK.
@Saddlebags732 күн бұрын
Thank you Jim, glad you enjoyed. I get a lot of pleasure from putting this kind of video together. Very interesting to hear about the old towns in France. Maybe I’ll get to visit some of them one day. I agree, they’re thrown up nowadays and certainly won’t stand the test of time.
