i miss my moms cooking. she used to make the best meals for the family...we lost her to cancer when i was in highschool. Life has never been the same since. I haven't been back to vietnam since moving to canada but i hope to taste the food my mom used to make when i do visit vietnam someday.

Sorry for your lost. I lost my Mom 22 years ago too. I moved to US a long long time ago, but I have been traveling to Vietnam every year since 2008 and loved it. Streets foods are delicious and very cheap as well. Visit Vietnam when you get a chance. You'll love it! Take good care!

This brings me back to when I was on my way to Sa Đéc from Hồ Chí Minh City and had my first hủ tiếu. As an Indonesian I was expecting it to be similar to the kwetiau that we have back home but it turned out to be different. Good memories, I miss traveling to Vietnam.

When they just put the broth into the bowl, the heat hasn’t fully spread to the outside of the bowl yet, so it’s not as hot as when you touch it later at 6:45 😅 so the trick is to make a quick delivery before your hands get burned 😂
