Sam takes a business trip to Japan and meets Sayuri to ask for babysitting as well as interviewing his idol. Meanwhile, as a farewell, Taeyoung’s family opens Ki Cafe to repay the love they have received so far.

I fully understand the way he treats his children now because of this episode. I've been binge watching this show and I know a lot of people question his way of parenting. He is actually **very attentive** to his kids' emotional needs and overall growth. From binge watching these episodes, I've noticed how he looks/glances at his children lovingly. In one of his interviews, he said that he believes physical affection is crucial to a child's development. Though the eldest twins are so big now, he still tries to lift them up in the air like they are kids and kisses them (especially in their competitive/sporty episodes). If I'm not mistaken, he said his dad wasn't that affectionate towards him as a kid. People also questioned why he never got mad at his kids (puffed rice mess, rice grains mess, cake mess, the doodles on his soccer cleats), saying that he should have scolded them. Instead, Dongguk took the blame because he knew that the kids would create a mess yet he forgot to keep it away from them. He said he doesn't want his kids to remember him as a father who would always scold them. Just like what he mentioned in this episode, he said he remembers his father hitting him because he was the one who got hit and that explains his patience/understanding towards his kids so much. Also, one of the episodes I recently watched was Jaea's tennis match. Jaea's coach asked him why he wasn't loudly cheering for her. He explained that Jaea told him that she feels nervous whenever he's watching her so he doesn't want to distract her with his presence. He said that he also didn't like it when his parents attended his matches as a kid because it made him feel bad whenever he made a mistake and didn't want Jaea to feel that way towards him. Despite his competitiveness, he never made his kids feel bad whenever they wouldn't win in any kind of (either friendly or competitive) sports/race. He would lovingly cheer and lift them up and tell them he's proud of them. That's why the 5 siblings never (so far, I think) cried from losing to any other kids on this show. I also hope we really get to see his wife more often because she seems like a wonderful, loving yet playful mom too. I wanna see her interactions, not just with the kids, but with Donggook as well. They seem to have a very healthy yet savage relationship. Donggook seems to want to immediately tell her the moments he had with the kids. Like Sian picking the soccer ball twice when they were practicing for Sian's first birthday tradition and before he went diving with the sharks, he called her just to jokingly let her know that it could be his last day and she just said "Bye." Hahahaha. Lastly, he totally inherited the way he adores his children from his dad. They may not have the kind of relationship he has with his own kids but his dad is always there to cheer him on during his matches. His dad creates/collects hundreds of records about him and his children. Everything about them and put it in a folder. Sorry for this unexpected wall of text. I just love this family soooooo damn much and this episode explained a lot of things about his parenting. Despite the hate he gets, he is an absolutely wonderful father. No wonder his kids are growing up to be really mature, caring and savage individuals because their entire family is. I just want them to get more and mooooore love, I hope people will see that. Plus the fact that he always wants to wear matching clothes with his kids (Sian especially), too damn adorable!

Ann V well said jingu, I really like and love this family. I would cry if they leave the show later. Because I only focus on this family only. I watched little baby daebak till he grown up as a little boy Sian and also his sisters. Appa is great father he always explain what he had done to his kids in this show. He is loving father and role model for his kids. We can see all of his kids have good manners and kind hearted. They are growing up so well. So sad that some people only see his prankster side. Or maybe they didn't watch a lot of this family.

Stary Lee I came across TROS a year ago because I was searching for Lee Dong Wook, I found the kids funny and adorable but I didn't watch it beyond that. I got re-introduced to it when I saw a video on FB about Seungjae, upon searching, I found out that it was the same show that I watched when I searched for LDW. I found myself watching more and more of this family more than Seungjae. I couldn't take watching different clips anymore so I started watching TROS when the 5 siblings house was introduced (episode 88). As much as I love Seungjae (and I know he's the star of this show right now), Donggook's family has this irresistible charm that really grows on you and stays with you. And I hope we still have at least a couple of years with them on this show. :( This family is too precious!

Ann V Actually, I watch TROS from long time ago when the old family was there, I love baby Sarang and then Triplet came. Luckily 5 Siblings came before triplet leave the show. So I still keep watching. I love other family too but baby Daebak stole my heart 😍😍 he was calm baby and grown up so fast as kind hearted little boy. I wanna kiss him so badly lol. And about seung jae, people may love him coz he is smart and sociable kid and also kind hearted. Other kids are good in their own way too. The important is I love kids. 😀😀

I really love this family. It's like watching a sitcom and drama and reality show all at once. I laugh the first minute and then get teary eyed the next. Gosh hope I can watch them for a long time.

What a sweet man and family. I absolutely love that Grandpa documents so much for his family (he is extremely thoughtful). It’s his way of showing love. Ugh, so touching! Grandparents really are the most precious thing in childhood…especially when they make the extra effort to address generational trauma. I know from experience that it can be a method of healing for all parties. Though my grandparents are no longer here, just rewatching these clips brings a lot of peace. This is the true measure of great content and what I wish would be used to highlight cultural similarities.

I'm glad they didn't leave it too late to spend time together. Thankfully Sian is the bridge along with the show, otherwise I don't think they would have every planned such moments. I think Dongkook still holds resentment towards his father because of the way he brought up the beating and brings up Sian having to be there if they do have these moments again. What is also great to see if Grandpa explaining that he did not know how to be a father due to his passing when he was one. It's interesting to see the knock on effects and reasons behind people's decisions in life. Luckily Dongkook, despite his busy career, has made the time to raise his children and have strong relationships with them. All of his children clearly know and love him, he is not absent or loveless. Unfortunately he did not grow up knowing his father which we see from the survey episode as well but luckily there is still time. All the best to them and I hope relationships can be strenghtened.
