I finally understand why Dongguk always teases Sian(maybe, LOL) I think hes trying to teach Sian that not everything/everybody is nice to you. Sian is so pure and sweet to everybody, his dad simply don't want Sian to be hurt in the future. That's my personal opinion but this family is so sweet and well-mannered to each other, I honestly admires their parenting's skills/lessons.

@@KonekoCat. nah. I'm sure it won't give trust issues. Sian knows his father loves him. He also got used to being teased that he sometimes outsmarts his dad. And Dongguk teasing him "unnecesarily" is actually part o his way to get close to his only son.

@@KonekoCat. not a therapist, but pulling pranks isn’t gonna give a kid such a big trauma such as trust issues. They seem to be a fairly stable family with good values (if u check their KZbin) so little pranks like that shouldn’t be a big deal especially since his father always apologizes and makes up for it. Besides, if you check their later videos, especially the Harry Potter version w Naeun and seungjae, sian seems to take pranks as a challenge and doesn’t shy away from them. All in all, we’re only seeing a snippet of their lives we shouldn’t assume. donggook seemed to be wary of these comments in the past.

Donggook's pranks are playful with no ill will. He doesn't talk down to any of his kids or get angry if they get mad at him for playing pranks. Some parents play pranks on you then get mad when you react negatively (for example when Sua and Seola yell at him for teasing Sian). He and his wife have raised 4 great kids before Sian, so don't go calling him a bad/inexperienced father. I know (as a teacher) a lot of kids whose parent's coddle them to the point where they can't even take interact with other kids without crying. Or parents that go crazy with the pranks that actually cause mental trauma for the kids (Daddyofive).

Right lightweight have joke never killed anyone and when u are gonna coddle your child so much they become too oversensitive and will not be able to meet reality... The thing I love most about Sian is his heart. He's so pure and gentle. No matter how much Dongguk tease him, he has never reacted aggressively nor rebelliously. He would cry or sing his frustrations but never did his love and respect for his dad wavered. You can tell he is quite disciplined and well-mannered even as a child. And as he grew, he has also shown his introspective side which is pretty impressive for someone his age. People can criticize Dongguk for constantly teasing Sian but with the way his children grew up, you can see that those teasings do not make him less of a father. He raised a bunch of responsible and sensitive children.
