I own the Orient Triton in Black/Gold - I bought it specifically because I love the Bezel Insert and of course on Day 1 of owning it I dropped it and scratched the Bezel Insert. I contacted Orient in Los Angeles and they helped me order an entire new Bezel ($65) and new Stem/Crown ($15) just in case I snap the original. (I'm clumsy). I like the Triton so much I recently bought an Orient Star - Elegant Classic dress watch - definitely worth a look at their catalog if you want something unique with In-House Movements and Made In Japan.

The only one I would consider out of these 3 watches would be the Orient Triton. Has handwinding, hacking, and a power reserve indicator. Let's see Seiko match this and the Seikos would be considered. As it is, Orient Triton kicks their butts!

The Orient is definitiv the best choice among the the 3 pieces. price, movement, craftsmanship are the better package compared to a Seiko Turtle. The Triton is at least on the same level like a Sumo! Maybe a little bit better...

Pretty good choices ... I'd like to add my 3 as well. The Dan Henry 1970, Davosa nautic star, Szanto Hawaiian lifeguard association diver. All 3 are strap and bracelet friendly and versatile, and come in at the 300 point.

Beautiful watches. I own the Seiko "Turtle" in Pepsi version (absolutely beautiful dial!). That's my toolwach when I have to work in aggressive environment and despite its mineral glass. I didn't get any scratch on it. And the bezel looks robust too. So, no scratches. For the moment... The default on the Turtle, to my mind, is the steel bracelet. It can be a little bit aggressive for the skin on the wrist, at the juncture of the extension system, whatever you set it. As I own other Seiko divers watches, as a Sumo for exemple (but this is a 20 mm bracelet, with links articulated in the other sense) and don't feel this problem, despite the similar extension system, I guess this is possibly a little default on this bracelet. Is there someone who got this problem too?

You forgot to mention that the Triton uses the best movement out of the three. It uses a movement from Orient's high end saturation diver. That alone makes it the steal of the bunch.

I am sure that Seiko watch is the best from practical point of view, which is function, affordability, and longevity. I have many Seiko watches and they never break. I have had a Seiko SKX 007 for 20 years and it never broke and still runs well. But Rolex is very expensive to buy and to maintain it, which is not worthy to own it. Seiko is the king of all watches !!!

If you are willing to stretch to $200 the Tisell Sub is supposed to be awesome -see Random Rob's videos on this. You can pick up an SKX for $170 (or used for ~$100) The Orient Mako or Ray II are really good choices at $100

I have a 7-1/4 inch wrist and own an SBBN031. Fit is absolutely fine. One thing to understand about the lugless design of the Tuna, combined with the taper from 48mm at the case bottom to about 43 mm at the bezel: it wears remarkably small on the wrist -- not too different than an SKX if you can believe that. Tunas are remarkably tough watches with a legitimate diving history and appeal greatly to watch enthusiasts. I love mine and can recommend it unhesitatingly.
