Is all the love for Mike Joseph really warranted? Can someone please explain to my, like I'm 5, why he's lauded and not being replaced.

@@allenknisell1119 Explain how, please. Our WRs couldn't get off man to man coverage, DBs get manhandled. He's the a part of the mediocrity.

As a basketball spectator, I was 100% accurate on all officiating calls, too. Now that I actually officiate HS basketball, it's much harder than it looks. My best advice is to sign up, take the classes, and try it! You'll quickly see how difficult it truly is.

It’s amazing how many bad calls there are in high school sports. With so many games being live streamed now you really see a lot of blatantly missed calls.

I write this without a lot of knowledge about NIL . Maybe if a player is given a certain amount of NIL money they shouldn't receive a scholarship. Let them pay for their education. Another idea is let the NFL create a farm league like baseball.

Last thing .. the loss of fans due to the drama created by the portal & NIL. I pay less attention now because of the portal & NIL.

@@Tom-dj6ou Why didnt you have that same energy when coaches, presidents and ADs got fat off the lucrative TV contracts before NIL? Now that the money is going to the players who put their bodies on the line, (remember, they create alot of their own revenue, the school isnt paying them) you care less? always strikes me as odd when i see this sentiment.

@codynichols7053 .. no .. I'm unable to remove the extras. I appreciate what the players do and did. I guess more money can bring things that weren't needed.

NIL. What...a ....joke. Name Image Likeness. How many fans are buying the third team tight end's jersey number? NONE. We're simply handing a monthly paycheck to everyone...whether they play or not. What...a....joke. No different than welfare. Just like the government.

Time to make it like the pros and have binding contracts to sign them for 4 years, only way out early is graduate early after 3 years or transfer as a redshirt senior.

@@codynichols7053 You have to remember coaches can leave pay a buy out and stay on where they go for a long period of time so it could be worth paying it. Athletes cant stay very long also I wouldnt even put a buy out option in their contracts. Its works great in the NFL it will work in NCAA too.

I’m sorry but am I missing something? College football has not changed much. Since the 1920s, it has slowly become about money. The only difference is that players have more control and the business side is in the public eye and not behind closed doors. The NCAA has always been in the business of making rules and not making sense.
@codynichols70538 күн бұрын
Yeah these people forget that the enormous TV contracts starting in the late 90s-early 2000s were making all the coaches, presidents and ADs boatloads of money. They've never shown any of the loyalty that they preach to the kids, and now that the players who risk their bodies want a tiny cut, fans are up in arms lol
@Commentleaver-c6x8 күн бұрын
It is not far from being a completely professional model. The players won’t even be students at the schools they play for. The football and basketball programs will be separate entities from the universities.

One of the major issues with getting the right coaches is most of those coaches are unfortunately MARRIED. Instead of being the man and wearing the pants in the family, their wives wear the pants and are the BOSS. They believe in the infamous HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE montra. They should say to their wives that they knew what they did for a living and it would require moving around some times. If the wife complains and wants to stay where they are then you just say okay. You stay here and I am going to where the new job if offered. Too many simps in America these days. Don't let a women control you or prevent you from improving your life. NEVER!!! JUST REMEMBER, SHE IS NEVER YOURS ITS JUST YOUR TURN.
@paulabrams59878 күн бұрын
This sounds like a projection from a man not happy with his marriage. It is also an assumption about people you don't know, and a tired old stereotype. My marriage was a wonderful partnership (she died last April), and we both wore the pants.
