The trolls are posting that he was corrupt and other comments along that line. I'm responding to the people who have no idea who he was or what he did or did not do as the director of the FBI's New York office. These silly people start a rumor and other idiots follow suite without doing any research. Jim was a great man in all regards and suddenly trolls find out he passed away and go to doing what trolls do best, troll. They really don’t explain how brilliant this bomb was which they really should have done because it explains why they take such drastic action. They did know the info about the bomb, like the aluminium foil to prevent drilling into the bomb casing…the switch mechanism to prevent movement, the barometric pressure sensor to prevent flooding of the bomb and so on. They still use this bomb in training bomb experts to this day. It’s still considered almost entirely impossible to disarm once set

I finally made it to the episode your were referring to & that appeared to be a situation where a firearm would do no good. When taken hostage @ gun point outside your home all your security measures are null & void. A hundred guns won't help you there, I on the other hand have another security measure for unwanted guests, my German Shepherd named Dash is always eager to welcome visitors into my home. I would hate to have him have to defend our family but that's his job, to give us that one extra moment to defend or preferably to escape. Relying on police to protect you is fine but they take minutes to get there & it takes only seconds to become a victim. Your personal security is your responsibility.

As far as banks being robbed I don’t understand why all banks don’t have silent alarms like the two banks that I worked for in the 80’s. We had a stack of cash in each teller drawer that when removed caused a silent alarm that went off. In the big safe we had something similar. At each desk we had silent alarms that could be pressed very easily when a robbery happened. This might not catch all robbers but it certainly gives law enforcement a jump on them.
