I was just a kid in the 90s when all this was going down. The Island Boys was one of the most feared drug gangs in the US Virgin Islands and Augusta Georgia. Even the paid informants were afraid to talk about them. I’m just glad the FBI was able to take them down. The effects of those drugs in Augusta were horrible: desperation, violence and despair led to the destruction of the side of a city. Cocaine is still a major problem for authorities, but at least the Island Boys won’t be trafficking drugs by the ton into the US anymore.
@truthdealer99

I saw the effects of these drugs first hand. I was born and raised in Augusta, Ga (Jennings Homes & Barton Village). The violence, desperation, dispair, and destruction of a side of a city. Juicy & the Island Boyz was the REAL DEAL.

The Early to Mid 90’s is when a group of drug gangs from Miami, which the Atlanta natives called the Miami Boys went up to Atlanta and started moving a lot of weight in Georgia and were causing havoc taking over different hoods and projects with the use of violence. They were cooking while keys into crack. The Atlanta boys had never seen cracked cooked that way. They would use huge Pyrex pans not pots. Some gangs from New Orleans also invaded Atlanta. And these groups from Miami and the N.O. were very violent. The Atlanta natives clicked up in order to fight back and defend their territory but to no avail until the feds indicted the dudes coming up from Miami. Some of them were connected to the Boobie Boys from Carol City and other groups from Liberty City.

The amount of illegal drugs coming into the country never changes, just who's dealing it. Time to legalize and make these drugs as safe as possible for the consumer! And get them taxed to give back to the community rather than to violent criminal organizations!

No such things as a ‘drug trade’ unless you’re taking about pharmaceutical companies. Otherwise people are supplying customers who want the product. There’s only carnage, death and violence because the racist and facist laws promoted by the USA.

make drugs legal end the crime. pharmaceutical drugs cause equally or more harm anyway to kids and adults alike, so the industry should be jailed!
@reeceburns2016
@reeceburns2016 2 жыл бұрын
Making drugs legal wouldn't end crime, it would increase it. Marijuana is the one of the only drugs when legalised wouldn't increase crime and would decrease. Its effects are similar to alcohol. However legalising cocaine and other drugs of the like wouldn't help, it would enable more people to become addicted, and what do addicts do to get their fix? To the demise of their own judgement they commit crime so they can afford to buy it. Think about how drug users are as it stands now, the majority of drug based crimes aren't drug dealers and smuglers, its the drug users, their judgement isn't that of a person who is sober and as a result they make some of the worst decisions they could ever make just to get their next fix.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
