This is so beautiful, but I can't help but feel heartache for the Tibetan monks who have been tortured, self immolated out of protest and desperation, and these historic monasteries so full of peace that have been burnt to the ground. May these people find peace, we should all be grateful for these people who have dedicated their lives to create such magical chants and soothing sounds. pray for them, meditate for them, send your positive and loving energy to them, they will not be forgotten.

I am a spiritual healer. Once an old lady told me that for every sickness, disease, anxiety, depression, love, kindness, happiness and so forth..... there is a spirit for everything. Once you know this, you can deal with it. Just pray the spirit out and away from you. Whatever you feel in your heart and mind, that is what you will draw to you. Energy goes wherever your focus goes. So, when you feel sad, immediately think of happy thoughts. Got it?! Have a wonderful life full of beauty and light. God Bless You and everybody.

I believe what is being chanted in the background is: "OM gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhisvaha" roughly meaning "Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond, O what an awakening, all-hail." It is the "great bright mantra, the supreme, incomparable mantra" at the end of the Heart Sutra from the Prajnaparamita texts. The Heart Sutra is used throughout the Mahayana traditions, but is especially revered/used in Chan/Zen Buddhism. The Heart Sutra is often said to be the best known and most popular Buddhist scripture.

this is from The Gyuto Monks Tantric Choir: Tibetan Chants for World Peace (White Swan Records; U.S. release: September 23, 2008), a collection of The Gyuto Monks Tantric Choir’s chants, "..some of which have never been heard outside the walls of the Gyuto Tantric Monastic University, until they were recorded by Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart." The Gyuto Monks Monastery was of course originally in Tibet, but after communist China invaded in 1959, had to be re-established in Dharamsala, India.

When truth is spoken it only resonates to the one searching for the truth. This music will either do it for you or it won't. I find it to be mind blowing and seriously penetrating. Its primordial tempo and chanting is perfectly timed by the bowl being struck. Use ear phones, turn off the light and let it flow right through you. To some it will invoke fear and to others it will seam obtuse. For the ones that this does not effect it is perfectly fine as well.. - Thank you for your musical effort. Let me dream about something : if I could go from school to school and talk just for one hour to the children and teacher there to show them the tibetan bowl, and how easy it is to play with the sounds of the bowl and FEEL how deep peace can enter in us that way... deep enough to stay in us for a while and giving us the ability to think differently, allowing us to multiply many other occasions of peace moments and actions around us... If I could go from school to school I would take my bowl and do it STRAIGHT AWAY !

Hey you. Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, hit the gym, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well!

I chanted this mantra 108 times a day every day for 6 weeks or so a while back, by the time I'd finished that practice my voice had dropped very low and seemed to have moved from my throat to my chest. Lovely, highly recommended practice :)

+e well I would chant it too if I knew what they were saying.

+Wentra w They're saying: "Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone beyond beyond, may it be so for the spiritually awake" Now you can chant it! The meaning of mantra is interesting, but it's more important to sense how it makes you feel.

Despite all the obvious calming side effects of this, there is definitely still an ominous, almost sinister presence. Almost like it's a representation of the vast wonder and unpredictability of existence.

These guys are amazing! Many years ago I got tickets to see their traveling show. I feared there would be no good seats left. To my surprise the front row was wide open! We sat right in front of them. One guy in particular was a real ham! The surprising part was that their throat chakras emanated purple light which connected all their throats together into a singular beam. Afterwards many moved forward and shook our hands with great warmth and happiness. They really enjoyed sharing their work and meeting us.
