Eevee is a common spawn. The ONLY random evolution is the first three. All of the other Eeveelutions have a set method to evolve.

Don’t have to type anything to search for 4 star, shiny, legendary, XXL, or XXS. It’s an option in your search bar in your Pokemon tab. All you have to do is ⭐️ all the ones that are in those categories then delete everything else.

Yeah the eevee name trick got me. Somebody mentioned it on the FB group when I'd just re-joined in 2021, I got excited because I had a bunch of really good ones already and didn't want to worry about the randomness. The next week someone posted a PSA about needing it at lv43. So here I am at Lv42, with a bunch of eevees re-ready to go with buddy levels up and lure modules saved 🙄

Another noob mistake is evolving specific Pokemon too early when they will usually get a special move when an event occurs. I have a fully evolved Venasaur with near perfect IV's, and as of this comment, there's an event that's going on where if you evolve your Ivysaur within the time of the event, you'll get a Venasaur with a very powerful exclusive move. I should have saved my Ivysaur for an event like this, but I wasn't thinking.

I have them sorted and tagged. There are "Arena Fillers". Pokémons that are over 1000 but have bad IV's, so I just keep them around to put them into an arena and send them away once they are back. Anything from 90 on gets tagged as "Evolving" and "90+IV". Self-explanatory. 4* are just favorites to make sure I can't send them away And Shinys, legendaries, mythicals, events, etc. Are all under the NYIDSTA tag, which is short for "No you idiot don't send them away" There are some Pokémons that don't get tagged but also not sent away. Those are simply fighters. Anything that has a bad IV but is over 2000

If you really want to save dust and massively in the long term, trade!. Trading for luckys adds up so much. Takes an hour to trade your 100 pokemom daily. Usually get 4-7 luckys per 100 trades. 10,000 trades in and your account will be amazing if you trade the right things
