I get some people that say Alain is just built different, I know him and Charizard as simply stronger than Ash and Greninja, but come on. XYZ was so peak, maybe with other peoples opinion they could say the previous regions were also peak but XYZ was a good type of peak to finish it off, the story was great, the design was really nice, everything was so on point. But they really just couldn't give Ash the plot armor that he needed. I don't know what y'all think but personally I prefer Ash became champion during XYZ instead of Sun and Moon.
