Before the Dutch GP at Assen kicks off this weekend we thought it would be good to take a look back at three iconic moments from the history of the race. Starting with recent history, the 2018 Dutch GP is arguably one of the best MotoGP races of all time, What a battle! All of the big names were involved and as some point most of them had a sniff of the lead and possible race win - Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Alex Rins, Andrea Dovizioso, Maverick Vinales and more!
From there we highlight the 1998 125cc GP where Marco Melandri made history, becoming the youngest ever GP winner at just 15 years and 324 days old!
Finally, the 2006 MotoGP race saw a battle of the Americans, Nicky Hayden versus Colin Edwards. Who can forget that one, the race went down to the last corner after both riders swapped the lead throughout the closing stages of the race, with Nicky Hayden crossing the line to take the chequered flag.
Let us know in the comments if you can recall more memorable moments from this race!
