I've been watching Indian movies since I was a kid with my Dada. Aa gale lag ja, Bobby, blackmail, Sholay. If you don't consider those Bollywood I don't know what is. As to the singing and dancing, a lot of modern Bollywood movies don't have those sign and dance numbers. However they were pretty much a staple in the classics.

Slumdog wasn't propaganda. The makers literally didn't have enough money to produce and finish the film. The storytelling and the movie itself was good and it won numerous awards. There are thousands of British movies set in Indian backdrops all didn't get the same recognition. Thank you. I think the big difference between me and the others is that I actually have roots in India. I lived there as a kid. I graduated High School in New Delhi and went for a semester in Noida. When I was younger an Indian family adopted me in a way, so I lived with them and learned Hindi very quickly. I have hoped people would understand what you have mentioned. In this video, that is an electronic fireplace that gives off heat. In some later videos we have an actual fire going. But in our recent / future episodes we moved location and we don't have that any more 😖
