Just started using an ethernet cable between 2 units. But when I put one unit to sleep, both units sleep. When I power up one of the sleeping units both power up. How do I stop this behavior so that the console unit can be placed in sleep mode while using the front unit to fish? Thanks in advance. I appreciate your videos and have learned from them.

As far as I know they hadn’t resolved that issue yet. I have a 93sv and Ultra 106 networked so they act independently but many have complained about it. You might give Garmin Support a call and see if they have a fix 800 800 1020. Thanks Rick

If your only running one transducer, can you turn the unit with the transducer pluged into it off , will the another unit still read the transducer

Can I add a new cradle to stern and then move head unit from console to stern, or bow and network off cradle on console? Or do I have to have 2 head units? I have one sv93 and I want to move it to stern when drifting for catfish in the river. I can’t find anything online. I’m hoping I can just add a power cable to new cradle mount, and use network cable to NMEA to transfer transducer info to head unit to allow me to move unit in boat. Thank you. I’ve been watching you since we ordered our unit about 2 years ago

Not 100% sure but I think for a network to be complete you would need a chartplotter in each cradle.

That’s what I was thinking, and I’m also wondering if Ethernet transfers what’s in the pin that goes in, only need the transducer info.

If you two or more units yes it transfers the sonar information from the whichever transducer you select. You can mix and match if you have more than one transducer. With only one transducer and chartplotter I don’t think you can switch locations

Sounds like either your Ethernet cord is not seated properly or you only have 1 transducer connected. Also you must have 2 or more units connected together to get that option

I have 93 sv echo on my bow and ultra 106 sv at my console. I just want my new bow 93 to mirror my 106. I have already connected them with the proper wiring and in the settings it shows both device's. I dont have an SD card in either unit. Is at least 1 card required for me to have 1 of the units mirror the other ? Help please lol

You should have a maximum 32GB card (larger than 32GB wont work) in one of the units so you can synch and update all your waypoints, routes and other user data as well as perform updates. The units won’t actually mirror each other but they will share information and transducers. Also the settings are independent and do not change on both units simultaneously. Have a great day!

@DoubleTFishing Thank you I'll get 1 SD card. The 93 on the bow will not have a transducer hooked up. Just feeding off the consoles 106.
