​​​@@kandesbunzler5620 anyone who wants to make an automatic door, even if it's just a 2x1/1x2, even a pressure plate is considered redstone and literally everyone uses that for opening a wooden door instantly and for self closing purposes also hidden bases uses redstone A LOT, so no, it's very much used by everyone, it's just the range in difficulty is different, from the plates and doors to literally 3-D printing with colored concrete and command blocks

Well, Redstone on Bedrock is literally so complicated and unreliable, so I think he refers to Bedrock Redstone, which works fundamentally different compared to Java Redstone.

@@CZghost I have played both versions a good amount and redstone is still pretty common on bedrock, while it is fundementally different from java (and worse) it still has its uses and i see it frequently used on a lot of survival servers, even the generic simple 1x2 door is still redstone and is pretty common

For the trash can, if you use a trapped chest, it will make it so your items will only dispense after you close it, so if you accidentally shift click diamonds they won't get dispensed

Redstone can be comlicated but the basics are really easy. All you need is at least 5 braincells and you are able to build 2x2 piston door and a simple flying machine

Redstone is probably one of the most used features in game be cause it can ether be extremely simple or incredibly complex, it also allows people to change their problem solving skills, I’d say one of the least used features is fish because of it sometimes unreliable farms and the fact that you can’t do anything else while fishing (I don’t mean using a fishing rod because that is actually extremely useful)

Save yourself two comparators and a dropper on the last one and put the daylight sensor next to the lamp. If there were items in the dropper and the comparator leading from the sensor were on subtract mode, you could adjust when it turns on during the night. I think he copied it visually
