I bought this book a few years ago but never read it, I started it today because of a weird dream I had, it was vividly scary and emotional, I stayed there laying down for minutes contemplating such experience.

The other authors were writing under Jung's instruction from what I read. I'm close to finishing Essay 3. It's a very fascinating read.

@@BookLabBjorn I watched Jung's 1 hour interview first. And I was really struck by how prescient his last comments were in that interview. I think his observations are applicable to current state of things about anti-vaxx and conspiracy theories being rooted in an pathological existential drive. I ended up reading "Man and His Symbols" because it is supposed to be an offshoot of the interview. (In the interview, Jung was asked about writing a book for a lay audience.) I would suggest checking that out as well.

@@BookLabBjorn LOL, yes, the whole point of the book was to be readable to the average reader, that's why he appointed what Jung called: "an average intelec man" to be in charge on the books project. But IT is definitely hard to read and long, but it compensates with the interesting content!

The origins and history of consciousness is a great book, its from Eric Neumann who is Jung´s student and Jung said that that book is the one he wanted to write, also there is Aion witch is Jungs book
