65 yo, able to do all with ease. So very happy! I do about 50-100 squats a day, 5-10 mins of Asian squats, heel lift for my ankles and just stretches as much as I can for hip mobility. Fighting my way through aging. I don’t want to be like the ppl that I saw on a cruise. Not that old but walking around with canes and scooters. So I am going to do all these exercises until I can’t. They motivate me to keep up with my exercises.

Until I ran one morning when I was 62 and tore a ligament from spine to sartorius muscle I was very active. I used to walk 2 or 3 hours up local hills no problem. The torn ligament stopped that. It hurt ....a lot 😮. But, like you I was determined to overcome. Now age 76 have developed chronic problem re tilted pelvis but keeping stretching and walking and just moving even if a bit difficult is the best thing. Just do as much as you can. I do use a cane but only when I need it eg after sitting having a coffee and chat with a friend 😅

@@beverlynorris557 my cruise departs from Fort Lauderdale so maybe that is why I see more older folks. I just can’t get over the amount of walkers in all shapes and sizes. Even scooters on the ship! On one hand, I am glad that when my time comes, I am still able to enjoy a vacation even when I need assistance. On the other hand, I am saddened by the future that we are gonna have. So I am definitely working this old body until the end of time.

Thank you so much, Will. I’m 73. My upper left leg had been causing me a lot of pain over the last four months. Some days I could hardly walk on it. Spoke with a doctor and he suggested Advil as needed. The Advil helped tremendously but only lasted a few days and the pain returned. So, it looked like I’d be living on Advil. A friend said it sounded like I would need a hip replacement. Watched your video and began doing the hip rotations. Almost instant success. I’ve been doing them for just a few days now and I can’t believe the pain has almost completely disappeared. No Advil. The leg feels much stronger and I don’t even have to use the bannister going up and down stairs. It’s a miracle. I feel like I’ve got my leg back and my life. I cannot thank you enough. I was wondering when your book will be available as an ebook. I like the portability and control over font size that ebooks allow. Again, my sincerest thanks! Dennis

70 years old here. Began working out seriously 4 years ago and now workout 6 times a week and love it. 2 days group training, 2 days boot camp and 2 days one-on-one with a trainer. I still have aches and pains, but refuse to become inactive. I went from not being able to squat past 90deg knee flexion, to doing a full asian squat (though I can't stay down there - yet). My one-on-one sessions work on strength but mostly on stability and balance. One of the unexpected benefits is the mental discipline - getting comfortable with being uncomfortable and not giving in to the voice that says "I hate this" - and just experiencing the burn. It spills over into the rest of my life. Having a trainer - whether in group or solo - was a game changer for me. I am saddened when I see "old people" at the supermarket and realize they are my age.

I just had this video pop up also. I will do the exercises as they seem simple and effective. I injured my right shoulder rotator cuff to the point I could barely tuck in my shirt at my back on that side, or lift my arm much above waist height. I was fortunate to be given the name of an ex NHS physiotherapist who had her own treatment room at home. She warmed my shoulder with a heavy warmed folded canvas sheet, massaged my entire upper back, then slowly and gently put my shoulder through its complete range of motion. Something I had been unable to do since I injured the rotator cuff in a fall some weeks before. I visited her three times in total, doing the exercises she gave me between visits, and was left with a shoulder that was pretty much as good as before the fall. I was 59 at the time, 65 now and do some stretches, when I remember 🙄, but will try to do more, and include the ones in this video. I have the exercise sheet she gave me put away somewhere, but remember some which were very simple ones raising a small bottle of water to the side, standing, and upwards when lying on my front. My shoulder has a tiny click I feel when fully raising my arm, but no pain. The money I spent visiting the physiotherapist was much less than you might spend on old banger car repairs, so well worth it to avoid a long wait to get to see an actual NHS physiotherapist 😕😊. Anyone looking online will see how incredibly complex a shoulder joint is, so the real surprise for me is they work at all. Arthritis or wear and tear are of course different from injuries, but hopefully surgery can be avoided if at all possible. 👍🏻

@@markj3517 … I’m very glad to hear that you’re getting great results from your physical therapy. I wish that’s all I needed but unfortunately I have a spur on my shoulder bone which grew so large that it severed all my tendons and they’re retracted now. I’m scheduled for surgery a month from now to have everything repaired, then I will have six months of physical therapy ahead of me. Doctor said it will be about a year before I’m fully recovered. This all stemmed from dislocating my shoulder when I was 12 and going 42 years with a torn rotator cuff and labrum. Everything was weakened over the years and finally snapped. I’m looking forward to getting the usage of my arm back that I’ve been missing for so long.

I recently had my third back surgery, but feel like I am going backwards. I can walk with my dog and have over 6700 steps -- a lot for a 77-year-old lady on a cane walking a puppy. My surgeon told me I would most likely have bursitis at some time after the surgery and may need to see my pain management doctor. Well bursitis has reared its ugly head a year and a half after surgery. I had many weeks of physical therapy and I see from your video for me I should have been doing the clam and the long lever especially with a pillow, This is much easier with the pillow. Enjoyed your video very much.

I am not sure of the clients that he sees. Based on the exercises and suggestions it seems like people that have been doing nothing for years. I squat, overhead press and deadlift every week and these are all done heavy. Of course I do other things, but there is always the big 3-4 exercises. I am 59 and still move weights that I was doing 15-20 years ago and have been lifting since my teens. Don’t stop…don’t lose it.

Good to know. Turned 50 some months back & have had partial feet numbness, tension in the neck & a bit of other nerve damage from injuries. Tried chiro. Managed to do all three carefully. Though the 3rd one's tough to turn the leg outwards. Popular vid.

I have numb toes too. I now dig them down and wriggle my toes as I walk but not got feeling back yet.

Wonderful! Thank you! I have osteoporosis in my spine and have been doing exercises daily after seeing a PT. She specializes in PT for osteoporosis. I have an almost constant tingle in my mid back and teach online so wonder if that’s related. I’m a 66yr old small woman. I’d say I’m very fit with the exception of my spine. Also taking collagen powder in my coffee daily :) Thank you!

I like the last tip which is on the neck rotation - been doing these in the hope of relieving neck pain and stiffness but experienced giddiness and those clicking and cracking sounds you described while doing so....will gladly stop these in my routine and stick to those other neck movements you approved of
