What's sad is that boy had a warning that something bad was going to happen at school that day, but still felt like he couldn't warn the school because a false warning would get you suspended by the administrators for shutting down the school for a day or become a snitch in public school which is literally like putting a target on your back.

So all these students that stayed home because of the threats they saw on snap chat, did or didn’t tell their parent’s why they were staying home. If they did, not one parent called the school? Seems lots of responsibility was ignored & lives were lost in the process. The tragedy starts here. R.I.P.

Because no one cares until something happens. Also, if it was in a wealthy neighborhood or even middle class the school would’ve been shut down for a week and a full investigation would’ve been underway. But in low income poverty neighborhoods like this they don’t care about the threats.

I'm in an absolute shock what I heard today. I myself live about miles away from this school and knew parents of children that attended it which thank lord they graduated by now. I drove by carefully to see the site unfold and it just made my gut sick seeing the ambulances and covered bodies. My heart goes out to rest of families and kids who suffered and some that might not be coming back home. Please stay safe fellas. ❤️❤️❤️

Have you ever noticed right after some awful tragedy happens, the comments from the people in the neighborhood always say; "this is a nice neighborhood, nothing bad ever happens here". It doesn't matter where you live, bad things will happen. My heart is absolutely broken and as so many have said, it was preventable had someone said something. often, if a threat isn't deemed credible or whatever, students face expulsion for "false reports" - the students likely thought they wouldn't be taken seriously and were afraid to go to authorities. It's awful, and it's so upsetting that such reactions from schools could have lead to this.

I'm so sorry this happened to you all. I'm so worried for my grandchildren. When I was in school and people got angry, it was handled with a fist fight and they walked away feeling better. Many times, they ended up friends. I truly believe they need to staff psychologists daily in every school you can see at the drop of a hat. I can't imagine the anxiety you all feel. In my day, school was fun and it should be for you, but now that one person took it all away. Your hearts will stop when you see anyone pull their hand out of their pockets. I was shot at driving to work. The bullet hit the metal strip between the passenger and back seat windows. It changed my life for a long time. Get counseling even if you feel you don't need it. A moment may creep up at any time that may cause feelings you didn't know were there. Please be safe and may God be with you kids.

After five years in prison that lifestyle becomes normal. Child molesters rapists and murderers live freely with TVs and three meals a day. And they have people in there who listen to them and give them advice and talk to them nicely. They are also protected beyond belief. I did six years in State Prison I seen more children come into prison with a DUI and receive worst treatment than a child molester. If you think your justice system is rough you have no idea how easy it is.

The way they just danced around this it seems like maybe it is gang related. When the Parkland shooting happened his face was plastered everywhere.. the media constructs everything around race to turn people against each other. They tell the parents to get lost and tell the kids to hate the cops. I am not surprised at all that these kids felt like they couldn’t tell the authorities. They also won’t talk about crime in the inner cities. Sounds like the kids feel they really have no where to turn because either way they are screwed and no one will care. It’s a serious decay in our society and it will continue until it collapses.

Actually the stabbings and bombs are real. That is common knowledge. It happens in China, Europe, Australia.. That is why you can look at stabbing statistics that trended upwards in those countries as they outlawed guns. There was a professor blown up for a cartoon about Islam not too long ago. There are measures to prevent this like reporting it to the police but that can be a problem seeing as how the media has spent the last year praising the defund the police movement.

Down with public schools. Teach your children at home, folks. This is the sobering reality of the fruit of public institutions. I was a public school teacher near Detroit for a few years, and let me tell you-very little meaningful learning is actually going on in those classrooms for a majority of students. It’s an absolute shame. Public education is purely a business that produces more and more illiterate and indoctrinated students by the year. Please heed my warning: parents, remove your children from the travesty that is public education-immediately! It is dangerous. If many of my past colleagues wouldn’t even risk going to the school while pregnant due to the violence, why would you send your baby there?
