I really don’t get it. Why are fans expecting to get free foods from idols? This is the first time I have ever heard an artist is supposed to give their fans food. Normally fans are expected to buy food themselves. Like the idols job is to perform, sing, make music and entertain. Not to make food for spoiled fans. Fun fact: Kwon Eunbi gave a luncheon, a Starbucks drink, and chicken (+ fast food coupon) PER FAN at ISAC this year. And to top it all off, everything except for the coupon was paid by Eunbi herself. (If you didn't know, a single chicken in SK costs about $25 these days. Imagine paying for about 50 of these and more) Although this year's ISAC did make some controversies but let's all acknowledge the fact that most idols there cared for their fans

The story about Ateez was made up (KQ is currently suing the Korean YT channel who perpetuated the lies. Atiny's received a ton of gifts (including skincare from their collab with Mernel). And the omurice shown was a random online pic to make it look gross. it was actually from a nice place (and "omurice" is an inside joke between Ateez and Atiny).

I mean, at other events like concerts or long events you aren't provided free meals but pay it yourself. Wow there, I'm not badmouthing korean fans at all here or saying idols should be praised like gods ! I'm saying anyone in that case should be grateful and not bash groups for the meals provided ! For Ateez's case, they even buy other food and stuff for fans. I perfectly know idols aren't divine but humans as well as fans. I think rude or improper treatment of fans by any idol/artist or their staff is unacceptable primarily because the fans are their paycheck and ought to be savvy enough to comprehend this. idols do pay for the food though? it's customary to show gratitude in some way to fans who came to support you at events like that - the filming can last over 12h with very limited opportunities to go and eat something or even go to the bathroom (the initial ISAC 2022 notices said that eating and leaving the seats would be prohibited due to covid precautions but they eased up on it eventually), it can be pretty strenuous for both sides

idols earn so much as an idol? girl tell me you know nothing about how idols are being payed without telling me you dont know cuz out of the entire money they collected from concerts and tours, they barely make 50% of the earnings because the people being payed ARENT ONLY THE IDOLS!! there are still back-up crews, background dancers, managers, lighting and other resources used during the performance(like makeup, clothes, accessories etc which i should mention are BRANDED) and the percentage that the company takes as profit which ISNT used as something to help improve a group's living condition and their overall lifestyle as an idol.
