There's a common misconception about low porosity hair. People think kt doesn't retain oils well, but that isn't necessarily true. Due to the cuticle of the hairs being flat, once moisture/oil/whatever is absorbed, it stays absorbed and keeps absorbed well/for longer due to how the cuticles are (hair cuticles and porosity are directly linked). It may not absorb oils as fast or as well as high porosity, but, it keeps in what it absorbs better & longer...it locks it in better, in other words. High porosity hair has cuticles that stick out if looked under a microscope and aren't smooth/flat like woth low porosity. This means that oil and stuff is absorbed much faster, however, due to the _high_ porosity, it doesn't retain said oil/product as long/as well. Here's an analogy: Imagine 2 sponges. 1 has lots of larger holes, and looks like one of those cartoon sponges (imagine SpongeBob as a normal spomge). The second sponge is a modern one and you can barely see the pores, and it looks like more like a yellow block. Now, imagine placing each sponge onto a flat & weaved metal rack, then pouring water onto each sponge. Sponge 1 will absorb the water really well and get full fast, however, due to it being on a weaved metal rack, the water would soon fall through the sponge and leak, falling under the rack, followed by the sponge drying faster. For sponge 2, if you poured water on it, the water may bounce off it at first, and you could splash/lose water. You may have to use multiple jugs of water until the sponge is fully soaked, however, when it is, it will retain the water much better due to the low porosity. Much less water would fall through the metal rack from under the sponge as it would retain the water better and for longer than the higher porosity sponge. This is how porosity with hair works, however, you have other things to consider, like what type hair you have. I have type 1a (1a being pin-straight, fine hair), low porosity hair. My hair is fine, so I can run products through it easier, but, I need to leave products in for longer if I want better results. For higher porosity hair that is thick, you can get product to stay in there much better, but its easy to oversaturate it as the thick hair can trap the product amd the high porosity means that the product isn't necessarily tightly locked into your hair, you wouldn't want to keep the conditioner/oil in too long or use too much oil. Both types/high and low porosity hair has their pros and cons. Understanding them is what counts.

I use cream of nature nightly and let me tell you, we came leaps and bounds from breakage and and the growth is crazy. I’ve only been growing my hair for a little less than a year and and had major bald spots and it’s been a journey now in just 11 months I got my hair to grow back really long and full with no bald spots and I keep it in nothing but braids-cornrows and have hang time I can’t even believe it’s my hair lol.

Biotin in hair products does absolutely nothing. Just so everyone is aware. And it’s not important to take biotin as a supplement either. What is important is taking damn good absorbable, multivitamins and supplements every single day and we’re not talking gummy types and we’re also not talking about the hard-pressed pills Centrum sells or the patches. You need a powder that mixes with water so it can be absorbed completely into the body or liquid, vitamin a liquid vitamin. Isotonix is a great powder brand to use for suggestions. No I don’t sell it.
