I used to have really dry and frizzy hair, now I thankfully have really thick, healthy, and glass hair and the tips from this video are REALLY good and helpful, all the things said work and help. I also found lots of comments of people asking what to do if you have frizzy and dry hair, I'll put my haircare routine and some of the products I use. My haircare routine: Daily : - Applying oil (coconut, rosemary, or alma) to the ends of my hair 30 mins before showering (Do a quick 5-10 min scalp massage) - damp the hair with warm water (this helps open up the hair follicles allowing the shampoo to better remove all the oil) - shampoo twice (I like to use Pantene daily moisture renewal shampoo) (I like to also use a scalp scrubber) - turn off water and start wringing out the water from your hair - split hair in 2, and apply conditioner (I use the Pantene daily moisture renewal conditioner) - twist hair to help better absorb the conditioner (I have 2c - 3a hair so at this point I like to brush out my hair with a wet brush) - wash out conditioner with cold water (closes the hair follicles and helps reduce breakage form the root while hair is wet) - put hair up in a t-shirt or microfiber towel while I moisturize my face and body - split hair into 2 and apply leave-in conditioner (Mielle rosemary mint blend strengthening leave-in conditioner - this also works as a heat protectant) and heat protectant (it's a 10 miracle leave-in product- this is pretty expensive so I only use it when I'm gonna be styling my hair with heat) - let hair air dry Weekly : - Applying oil ( rosemary, or alma) throughout my whole head (scalp and ends) - Using a hair mask (bought or homemade) - Using heat Some tips : - don't use heat daily - drink LOTS of water - take vitamin e supplements (if your balding/thinning) - if you have frizzy hair, pay attention to moisturizing your hair while it's wet (not dripping wet, but when your hair is around 30% dry) - don't always use products you see online, research about your hair type first and your main concerns then buy products according to those things If you have any questions or need recommendations go ahead and ask in the comments, I'll most likely reply :D

Also i got dandruff which sticks like a layer. After reaching length near my shoulder my hair start to dry and split in end. I used Pantene conditioner it’s worked for some time but not for long. So please help with dandruff cause i think if dandruff starts to reduce maybe my hairs start to grow again

I feel like Jojoba oil is a good alternative of coconut oil for people with low porosity hair, I started using jojoba oil instead of coconut oil and my hair looks so much healthier now
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
Yess !! Jojoba oil is indeed a great alternative for low porosity hair because it’s lighter and can help with moisture without weighing the hair down. It mimics the natural oils produced by the scalp, making it easier for your hair to absorb. I'm glad you’re seeing positive results! 💖
@haniak96945 ай бұрын
And remember lovelies, everyones hair is different in terms of porosity, texture and more. Make sure to do your own research beforehand to find out your hair porosity and hair type. By knowing the moisture intake level Of your hair you can adjust your preferences of products accordingly. Figure out the right type of hair oils for your hair and scalp. In my opinion natural remedies work best (they saved me from becoming bald!). I personally love flaxseed hair masks so make sure to give that a try. Lastly at the end of my "know it all" speech i would encourage you to not take stress and to please be careful of your diet. Dont eat junk food all of the time and dont be too pushy on having a strict diet either. Live is all about balance! Good luck 💞

Don’t emulsify the shampoo before applying on your scalp. The way shampoo works is the soap grabs the oil molecules and sticks to them and creates suds, water rinses and cleans the actual scalp. You want an even coat of shampoo on your hair before it suds, it’s not completely avoidable but rubbing the soap on your hands before you put it in your scalp doesn’t do what you’d think. Avoid super sudsy soaps because those aren’t really cleaning your hair, a good soap wouldn’t sud immediately and would have less suds, another important thing is to wash is twice, and only put it on your scalp, not the rest of your hair. I’ve started doing this for a month or two now and I can go a good 4 days before my hair is super greasy
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
Actually, emulsifying the shampoo in your hands before applying it to your scalp helps distribute it more evenly, which can make the cleaning process more effective. The suds are just a visual cue-they don’t really show how well the shampoo is working. But you're right that a good shampoo doesn’t need to be super foamy to clean well, and it’s best to focus on washing your scalp rather than the lengths of your hair. Washing twice can also be beneficial, especially if you have oily hair, and your routine of washing less frequently is a great way to keep your hair healthy. 🤍

I never use heat on my hair (heat iron/staightener). I never blow dry my hair. I never rubb them dry with a towel or anything else. I use a mild shampoo for years now (no silicons, no parabens). I always get rid off excess water after washing the scalp. I used to use coconut oil years ago but stopped because it made my already dry and frizzy hair even worse. 3 years ago I switched to argan oil and it wasn't dooing anything good for my hair either. I never comb my hair because everyone tells you to not comb curly hair. We do not have hard water. And still my hair is very frizzy and super dry. Two days ago I tried the highly praised selfmade linseed gel... I wanted to shave my head afterwards. The only thing it did to my hair was leaving it with white-grey lint/fluff all over... I had to knead my hair with oil to get rid of some lint amount but it was useless. After that my hair was all frizzy again and I had to wash out the rest of the lint. So it was all useless and only caused more work and took more time than my hair care already does. My conclusion: To have healthy thick shiny hair or something close to that you have to be born with it. Otherwise your hair is doomed. Genes are mighty🤨🙄 Some hair types might be able to achieve a shiny look for a couple of days with all so many different drug store products but by using all this chemical stuff you don't do your body and hair any favour on a longterm basis. And your natural hair will look even worse then. Sorry to say that but unfortunetly it's true.

I apologise I hope you don't see my comment inconsiderate, I'm not trying to give unsolicited advice but as med student with humble knowledge I think you have iron deficiency or vitamin d3 deficiency do some lab tests. don't forget about stress or your mental status because no matter how much it gets overlooked, it's one of the prime reasons for hair problems and If you haven't already, try putting a leave-in conditioner right after u shower then brush it while it's wet. if all of this doesn't work I recommend seeing a doctor they'll help you alot.

I use the shampoo he told me and other simple shampoo with balanced pH and no perfume. It may not look fancy nor smell glamorous, but my scalp and hair look amazing. Then i aply keratin mask on my mids and ends (i have porous hair). I aply heat protection before blow dry my hair and use mid low heat. I dry to 80% aprox ?) simply let my hair dry its humidity by its own. And when my hair is dry, i aply a little ends oil. In the global equation, this routine is cheaper and efective ❤

it's not water damage it's shampoo damage. yeah it's true water makes hair vulnerable but this only applies to the time it is wet. therefore, when your hair is vulnerable, brush it or applying a drying chemical such as shampoo will damage it
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
You’re absolutely right! It’s not water damage per se, but rather the damage that can occur from shampooing or brushing while the hair is wet and vulnerable. When hair is wet, its structure is more fragile, making it prone to breakage. This is where hygral fatigue comes into play-it's the weakening of hair due to repeated swelling and contracting from water absorption. That’s why I emphasize using coconut oil as a pre-wash treatment. It helps create a protective barrier against the potentially damaging effects of shampoo, minimizing how much water your hair absorbs during washing. This way, you can keep your hair healthier and lessen the risk of damage. 🤍

doesnt sleeping with oil in hair (scalp maybe?) is bad beacuse it can cause built up?
@suzukauzumaki75605 ай бұрын
If you’re talking about putting a big quantity of oil in your hair and then rinsing it in the morning, then yes, it can cause built up and isn’t recommended by doctors. Otherwise putting a small amount of oil hair isn’t bad at all.
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
When using hair masks, leaving them on your scalp overnight can provide hydration. But if you're doing it wrong, it may also lead to buildup. Heavy masks can attract dirt, clog pores, and cause scalp issues. Try to use lighter oil masks, apply mainly to the hair ends where moisture is needed most. Wash it out regularly to prevent residue buildup.

I am an older (white) woman with thin gray corkscrew-curly hair (somewhere between 2C and 3A) that goes just past my shoulders. Brushing it completely removes the curl and turns it into a frizzy mess, and it's much too tangled to comb. If I don't get it wet in the morning and add conditioner to comb it, then it doesn't curl - just stays a frizzy, tangled mess. I mean, I could have dreads in less than a week. How does a person like me avoid getting my hair wet every day? The things I am doing right - I wash it only once a week, not too aggressively, and let it air dry.

Nexxus Ensure is another very good option for an acidic conditioner. A great detangler.
@hotgaytakes2 ай бұрын
Garnier has a product, on the bottle I have it says "hair filler + bonding, inner fiber repair treatment" but it has the same acid stuff as the higher end brands and so far I've noticed an improvement. I'm sure they have a conditioner too. I got it as a dupe for the redken one.

I think my hair has a lot of problems from A- Z. When I tested for hair type of porosity, guess what?? Some of my hair floated on the top, some in the middle and some on the bottom @_@ I have thin fine hair, a bit wavy, frizzy & dry on the bottom, oily on the scalp after a few days. My scalp used to be very itchy & now is getting better after I changed my shampoo, but still itchy sometimes. My scalp is dry & flaky too ..

Sometimes it’s best to stick to one product, as using too many can damage your scalp's skin barrier. Try the tips I shared in this video and my last one, and let me know how it goes🤍

Thanks to this video I put coconut oil in my hair like in 2020 and my hair feels thinner and drier now after wash and blowdry
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
It sounds like coconut oil may not have worked well for your hair, which can happen for some people. If your hair feels thinner and drier, it might be worth trying lighter oils or other moisturizing products instead. It’s important to remember that hair health can be influenced by various factors, not just one product. Changes in hair thickness or dryness can result from factors like environmental conditions, heat styling, diet, or even hormonal changes. If you’ve been experiencing these issues, it might be helpful to look at your overall hair care routine and lifestyle. Oils like argan or jojoba can provide hydration without the heaviness. Additionally, consider incorporating a good conditioner or hair mask into your routine to help restore moisture and improve texture. I hope this helps 🤍

What if everything weights hair down? I have curly hair but if I use leave in conditioner at all or even rinse out conditioner too often it just won't wash out at all (honestly I also have combination skin - eczema and pimples 😭)
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
Consider trying a few different strategies. First, look for lightweight, curl-specific conditioners or leave-ins that are formulated to provide moisture without heaviness. Try products labeled as "curl enhancing" or "lightweight" For your combination skin, especially with eczema, you might want to keep your scalp care simple. Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo to avoid stripping natural oils. Lastly, if you’re struggling to find the right balance, consider experimenting with less frequent product use or using a clarifying shampoo occasionally to remove buildup. This can help refresh your curls without making them feel weighed down. 💖

do you also get water damage if you shower hot with your hair up in a bun and it gets slightly damp from the steam?
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
Yes, you can experience water damage if your hair gets damp from steam, even with it up in a bun. The heat and moisture can make your hair more vulnerable, leading to potential damage. It’s best to keep hair protected or use cooler water when possible! 💖

It’s about being intuitive. If you feel you can be more gentle, do try. If you feel conditioners etc and oils aren’t giving you that hydration that’s your hair needs then try hair masks and natural oils. Cold water when rinsing hair is a must.

my mum used to ALWAYS oil my hair. I hated it. she used heated coconut t oil and argan oil and when I tell you, it GREW my hair out like crazy fast. I cut my hair about every year because it was just too long to maintain. I started doing my own hair about 2 years ago and stopped oiling it, my hair didnt grow. Like I last cut my hair March 2023 it's only grown a couple of inches since then (yes ik this is normal for some people but my hair grey SUPER fast before) so imo I would say it works. Just be consistent and take good care of your hair.

There are many factors that can cause hair loss, including iron deficiency, stress, and hormonal changes. If you’re in menopause, that could likely be the reason for your hair loss. 💖🫶🏻

what if you have dry scalp but really oilly hair what do i use
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
1Use a gentle, hydrating shampoo with ingredients like aloe vera or tea tree oil to soothe your dry scalp. 3.Avoid harsh shampoos that strip your scalp of natural oils. 4.Apply a lightweight, non-greasy scalp treatment or serum specifically designed for dryness. 5. Use a clarifying shampoo once a week to manage excess oil. 6. Apply conditioner only to the hair ends. 7. Exfoliate your scalp weekly to remove buildup.

Use gentle shampoos and avoid heat styling. Massage your scalp with lightweight oils like argan or rosemary, and consider biotin or iron supplements if necessary. Avoid tight hairstyles that pull on your hair, and consult a doctor if hair loss continues.💖

This works for your hair, but wont for most people. For ex. coconut oil is an oil that doesnt penetrate hair, so it gives 0 nourshing, its just an occlusive.
@BeautyTheoryOfficial3 ай бұрын
I get where you're coming from, but actually, the steps I’ve recommended are science-based and work for most people. Coconut oil, for example, has been shown to protect hair from hygral fatigue when used as a pre-wash treatment. It helps minimize the swelling and contracting that happens when your hair absorbs too much water, which can lead to damage over time. While coconut oil might not deeply nourish for everyone, especially those with low porosity hair, it still provides a protective barrier that’s beneficial for preventing water damage. 🫶🏻
@madeleinearia3 ай бұрын
@@BeautyTheoryOfficial So just as I wrote coconut oil is just a way to protect the hair, it doesnt nourish it. In europe it is known that coconut oil works mostly for low porosity hair - wchich is the exact opposite of what you wrote. There was many research made on hair conditioning and there are books about it
