Gary Winogrand is one of my great inspirations in photography. It’s the message, the story, the humour that makes his images great!
@Uni_sono Жыл бұрын
Absolutely… the humour and the way he observed… pure mastery 🙏

The masters of the game. Pre-digital era captures fantastic images instead of the dreary same old many churn out today.

Exactly, that's why we should remind us about their way and do better job... Thank you 🙏

@@Uni_sono Not better but maybe different. No need for extreme digital post-editing in those days. They had to nail it. I bet that yours and my street pics are nowhere as good as his.

I believe all of Winogrand's film had now been developed and archived. There are no undeveloped rolls anymore.

In my young days I did street photography, but only shot c. 6k images. Should have shot more, per Winogrand's advice. Should have kept going, but life presented other options.
@Uni_sono2 жыл бұрын
My friend it's never too late, if it fulfills you then that's a clear choice..pick up camera and have another 6k 🙏😉

Gary once wrote an essay where he said that if one wanted to be a street photographer, it would be best if they were first Jewish!
@Uni_sono2 жыл бұрын
Well he himself didn't like to be called that way, and me personally I don't believe that you have to be born something to be creative or artist... Sorry this I would find disturbing for sure, he was joking a lot maybe this was one of bad ones.
@CRJines2 жыл бұрын
@@Uni_sono no, he was not joking. He was making note of the fact that almost all of the street photographers in his time were jewish!
@Uni_sono2 жыл бұрын
@@CRJines well that's a good point ... didn't thought of that ... history proved him wrong 😁...

@@Uni_sono ???... He wasn't talking about the future. He was talking about his time.

@@Uni_sono Street photography is for people who don't know how to take photos. Extremely overrated

Good topic but in my opinion you should have lowered the background music, it's too loud and doesn't help understanding what you are saying. But apart from that, great video!
@Uni_sono2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for feedback, yes i learned it hard way ... Every video I lower the music so hopefully next time it will get better 🙏😉

1:29 is not Winogrand. Its Bruce Davidson

Thank you my friend ... I was not sure but the style was very close and in search it showed me that it's Garry... Cause I know Bruce by his colour work it didn't cross my mind ...thanks I will try to repair it ...thanks for noticing ...I truly appreciate your help 😉

Hey I checked and for now I can't replace the image without taking down the video, sorry for that, anyway pictures in this video are basically illustration for an inspiration, the lessons are THE point, I will pay more attention in future, thank you again my friend.

Great, interesting video but your voice contrasts too much with the music in the background. Your voice is soft and calm while the music is harsh and noisy... that's why even when the music is not too loud often seems to cover your voice making it difficult to hear what you are saying.
@Uni_sono2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for feedback... I tried my best to sound confident and music I chose was (according to me) most suitable for era Garry shoot ... Will try to keep an eye for this ... Thank you
