Interesting conversation. The difficulty with social engineering is that society must have mechanisms to recreate itself. It's not like a building that continues to stand once it is built. How do you keep ideals alive from generation to generation without falling into the trap of autocracy, indoctrination, or propaganda? It's a tough nut to crack.

We tend to hold people with good will to a higher standard than those we openly admit have bad will. Maybe we can stop this asymmetrical application of skepticism and suspicion, for the greater good -- and let experiments blossom while holding people accountable in real-time, and overcoming our own deep misgivings against the possibility that goodwill can exist without ulterior motive.

@@YogiPrateado I'm in agreement with most of what they say in this video. My intention is to further the conversation, not to criticize their views.

Its interesting Jeremy mentions the five major evolutionary shifts. Perhaps being relative to the emotional intelligence society is growing into and a sort of metaphoric connection to the chakras system. The fifth chakra being the heart and heart based relating. As we learn to focus more on our own heart, what lights us up and heart centered experiences. There naturally more joy and balance between every interaction in the world. That's the most basic for of exchange or comerce. I wonder about a new way of doing things fitting into an old model. Its definatly going to take some reimagining, something never done before! Of courses I guess nature is an the older model. Mother nature has been at this much longer than we have. Great topic! 🗿🏞☀️🐬

We just had a similar topic in economical psychology class! Humans evolved in groups of 30 people or so and depending on the current issue, leaders took over different projects and the group itself chose that individual leader based on everyone's communal benefit. So there was never a stable hierarchy of one single leader. I actually asked my prof about whether it would be possible to form businesses like that today. But everyone said that it would lead to chaos and we couldn't project ancient structures to current business. I think our evolution was possible because people had ideas beyond their individual benefits, they even underwent lots of suffering to bring forward humanity. These days we are only focused on what we want to step away from, rather that visions we step towards. We are constantly turning around ourselves and hate on the system whatsoever. In nature there's nothing unnecessary and creatures know instinctively what to do, but humans love doing stupid things just because they can. But in order to play God, we have to deal with the consequences too

I think Mondragon in Spain has something like 70,000 workers and organises itself horizontally like that: might be worth checking out!

JUST IN - WE ARE ALL DIFFERING AS FAR AS THE BRAIN ' YOUR WAY THAT IS WEIGHABLE ISN'T YOUR* REAL WAY ' OUR ENVIRONMENT IS NOT IN JEOPARDY THE ONLY PROBLEM FOR SCIENCE IS PLASTIC We need to understand our Independent selves and see Outside of our everyday lives If we are allowing Self to do these could allow us to understand we must change things How we do this isn't up to just one of us you know?

Native Americans had sustainable societies for the most part. Many were matriarchal too.YES! It's good to have a plan that strives for life's betterment as the goal instead of and well beyond the almighty $ (dollar)...

Native American tribes raped and pillaged. They kept prisoners as slaves. It wasn't nice.
