Great stuff! Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but I've been watching your content on fasting and how the taoists eat. Would you consider doing a video on what a day of eating in the life of a taoist looks like?

I've been telling myself I'm gonna do this for years but I have to go. I'm a hermit and I live in the cave that is my dads house. Might as well live in an actual cave.

I am wondering... How is it that I know of several people who can recite principals of Taoist life convincingly or may even teach these principals with power and yet have never had a taste of peace? Others traveled extensively to many countries searching for peace and growth. They visit monasteries, live there and are very familiar with all the principals - so what! If I could be like Buddha in dress, diet, words, movement and actions it is only acting if the 'meaning' is not there. People eat the meal of their teachings and it tastes sweet, more and more they eat. Later when darkness comes their meal provides no strength but loss and confusion. Evidence of teachers deceiving themselves and their students follow in kind. A sickness!? There is no way for an student to know good from bad or fake from real - just what they like, so they travel down a path to the Dead End.

Fascinating! Yesterday I was meeting with my Reiki teacher and at the end of our conversation I asked her if she had any suggestions for how I could use Reiki to help me cope with my very loud and seemingly unaware neighbors upstairs because there are many ways we can use Reiki to enhance our life as it is a lifestyle. So she goes on to tell me about this story and later shared this video with me. For some reason at the last minute I felt compelled to ask her guidance on something that seemed unrelated to Reiki and yet she gave me the most perfect answer. She told me when the people upstairs get loud BREATHE. Because in our breath we are present and aware and as I’ve learned it’s in the present moment we are most powerful. Sometimes I am meditating when they get really loud and the noise doesn’t seem to phase me yet other times I get triggered and angry. My teacher told me to use it as practice for becoming more aware and going even deeper within. It is showing me my triggers and making me want to work on that. Everything outside of us is simply a mirror of our inner state. And of course what we choose to focus our attention on -the waterfall or the bird- makes all the difference.
