Wow I think Maynard has an amazing voice but you are right up there with him. It's so perfect for the song. Once of my favorites. walked down the aisle to 3 Libras played by a string quartet. Such a beautiful song. people who didnt know the song would never guess who it is by. A few knew and came up to me and were like awesome. OK back to you. I get chills hearing the string version but yours is amazing. You created such a full song and your voice just tops it off. It's so amazing. I am picky about music and only certain songs can I listen to over and over and still get butterflies (almost like that falling in love feeling) and your rendition gives me that. Story time about Adam and this song in particular..... When i was super fucking young I recorded a cover of me singing a duet to his version of this song and sent it to him. And he responded to me! He told me to keep up the good work and he liked the harmonies I had chosen. It might seem like the tiniest thing to some but it was the BIGGEST thing to me. I kept singing and now I'm a professional musician. I got a shout out in a news publication because of my vocals in a theater production and I sang Carole King at a beautiful wedding for the father and daughter dance. But people like Adam responding to my little weird email of me singing along with him, made ALL the difference. Thanks man. This video should have over a million views. Your talent and your kindness are felt by all who view this.

This is the only coverversion I've come across of this song that clearly captures the pain and frustration Maynard displays in the "you don't see me"-part. Since the theme of the song is unacquitted love I'd even go so far as to say that that part is the heart of the song. Anyhow, i reckon it is the part of the song that demands the most of its singer in terms of emotional input and it also works quite well as a piano adaptation! Great piece of work!
