I got a 2wd 1997 1500, 5.2l Magnum with auto tranny. Like all the worst possible options for this thing. I wasn't looking for a truck when I got it, I just needed a vehicle for cheap to replace my beater work car (a totally worn out 98 Lumina). My boss sold me the Ram for 1k, and it runs just fine, and it's easy to work on. It turned me into a truck guy when I was previously just a car guy. Now there's all kinds of things I wanna do to it, and fuck all the haters telling me the 2wd is shit, most of the time the guys with 4x4 never use it anyway. I'm not a mudder, I never go off blacktop or dirt roads. It's to get me from A to B but I wanna make it look good while I'm at it.

I’ll never go muddying in it, or do any hauling with it really at all, and for the most part it’s what many call a "pavement princess". The amount of times that I see these guys say "why would you lift a 2wd?" Like bro, why do you care, I want my shit to look good man, stop asking why and help me out here. I understand the appeal and practicality of a 4wd, but I don’t have it nor do I care.

I got a 1998 ram 1500 5.2 and i lifted it 3inch and love it i can run 33s on it with 2 inch spacers no issues

I installed this same kit on my 2000 ram 2500..one side is higher by almost an 1”..I’ve rechecked everything,both look normal..one side I couldn’t get it aligned to my liking..the side the that’s higher..maybe it seated wrong? I’m thinking about taking it completely out and getting realigned but I hate the rake from factory!

Do you know if the kit you used is still available? Do you still have your truck if so how many miles do these trucks average last? I have replace my injector pump with a bigger one and replace my lift pump with aftermarket after having trouble with my injector pump .So I upgraded then upgraded my lift pump to help keep thing cool.....Also I have a mint condition 01 Duelly bed I'm trying to sell bc I need a flat bed.....Duelly bed is white factory paint no rust no dents as good as I've seen since 2001

That is very weird. No, my spring sits inside of the groove. Did you order the same spacers I did from the link in the video description? Did you remove the spring insulators and place them ontop of the spacer? The spring should definitely sit inside the groove. I just made a video on installing polyurethane lower control arm bushings, check the videos tab, and in that video I had to take everything out and I have some good views of the spring / spacer / insulator disassembly and assembly, maybe that will help you get a better view of everything. I'd be concerned as well, I hope you are able to figure it out

Hey fellas I was ready to buy the front and back 3" lift kit package with the pro comp shocks from supreme I saw the same warning doesn't fit extended cab ... further investigation what I found it was because the rear lift in the package are only set up for 2 1/2" wide leaf springs... With those stock extenders it literally feels exactly the same as stock. I've put on about 3k miles towing over the past 2 weeks and they are holding up perfect. No change in ride feel and with the 2in block tows level. Hope that helps

Yeah, I noticed a slight decrease. The drivers side brake caliper bolt will hit the bump stop mount now at full lock. Raising it up seems to have messed with the clearance a bit

It has its moments. Significantly smoother with 10k lbs on the back. It's a 3500 from 2001, they are a stiff ride, especially the rear end.

Honestly couldn't tell you. If the suspension setup looks the same as mine does it should work the same. The dana 70 might even fit the blocks with no drilling the hole bigger.
