Great job on the install, wiring, and plumbing! Those 1" lines are HUGE, and so is the pump. Can't wait to see the results!

You finally make the move to have the heat exchanger inlet relocate to the bottom. I did that back in 2018.

What shock extender do you have for the front? I have a 99 2wd and it's leveled and my bilstein 4600 shocks don't fit. Barely by a inch or 2. Those shock extenders would definitely make them fit.

By legal terms oil companies that say full synthetic isn't really 100% synthetic. That's why amsoil says 100% synthetic oil and that's why I buy amsoil

Interesting. To be fair, I'm not sure how much it really matters, engines can run just fine on conventional with shorter interval changes, so weather it's truly 100% or just really well refined, as long as it has a quality additive pack, it'll be fine.

Did you just refill coolant or you had to bleed it to get rid of air pocket?
@AllThingsBoost
@AllThingsBoost 3 күн бұрын
Refilled it, and when I went for a drive the coolant temp light came up, as I hit the brakes it went away, so likely had an air pocket or two. I'd suggest vacuum pumping the reservoir a few times to get the air out prior to driving.

@@antoniooquendo3812 answered on your other comment about exhaust. 750 is about the safe limit. Safe meaning they will last a long time, but with the right fuel, e85 or race gas, and proper cooling, they can take 800, that being said, no longer safe, so it could let go. I'm probably 730-750ish hp.

I like the 05-09 s197 body the best. One reason I still have my old 09 3v gt. I’d love to find an 07-09 gt500. Even though my 19 gt 10 speed will definitely outrun a stock one. My all time dream car is an 03/04 cobra. If I could have a terminator and an 07-09 gt500 I’d be in heaven. Just working on saving up for them

People say this is easy to do. No way! Great job routing those hoses around the power steering pump. Looking forward to when you test it out! What gains have people gotten with this setup?
@AllThingsBoost
@AllThingsBoost 12 күн бұрын
So the gains I've been lead to believe are mostly on the back half of the quarter mile and street use. It should keep IAT2s under 120 at WOT. Mine creep a bit over 130 in the quarter and 120+ in the 1/8th. Then street use is all 130. If things stay below 120, and ideally keep around 100 or less with ice, it will have done it's job

While I agree gutting and going crazy probably isn't the best move, unless you have and keep it below 10k miles, I doubt value will grow much. The 13/14 is the one for holding value IMO. Now, if the purpose isn't resale but to have and enjoy, you got the right car

Tire shaving is a lost art that is still welcome, especially for large commercial tires. True, tires were worse in 60-80’s, but tires still aren’t perfectly round. We transitioned from shaving to spin balance and add weights. Many felt you were wasting rubber, but a shaved tire will wear more even and last longer. A shaved tire doesn’t require as much weight, and provides a smoother tire on road than a balanced tire slightly out of round, thus longer wear. Tires have greatly improved, but even the best if checked on a tire shaving machine will have slight out of round… not much, but will exist. This is even more prevalent in large heavy 16+ ply Commercial tires. I’d like to see tire shaving services become more common, I’d definitely have my new tires checked & shaved.
