I adore this piece. And, as a guitarist, I'm jealous of your fretless violin. This is why the blues sounds best played with a slide so you can hit the microtones where needed without 1/4 bends.

Thanks Drew !! ms. 44 is a tricky one, it will always be a bit approximated - but I find that thinking of that measure as a continuum rather than the separate notes actually helps me hit them :)
