It's really crazy how versatile the Rat is. Old-school country to thrash metal...

I was genuinely surprised at the fact that I found some useable sounds with this pedal. I was not sure what to expect, but after I started digging in and listening to specific examples of other folks (Brent Mason, Mike Ness, etc.), it became a lot of fun!

Fun review my friend. It’s fun to experiment with all kinds of tones and you can come up with some surprising good sounds from some effect pedals that you would otherwise think might be unusable.

Thank you so much! And yes, I was not sure whether I’d be able to make a video with the ProCo Rat when I picked it up, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with what I wound up getting out of it!

Is that a tone master amp sitting there or is it the real thing?
@CodyJungGuitar2 жыл бұрын
It's the real thing. That's actually a bone stock original 1964 Deluxe Reverb that I bought right before the prices on those things went insane. I got really lucky buying that one when I did.
@guitareveryone2 жыл бұрын
@@CodyJungGuitar have you tried out a Tonemaster Deluxe yet. They are actually quite good. I’ve downloaded the firmware for mine that does the simulation of the bright cap clipped and better reverb and it’s great. I’ve ordered the Celestion Neo Creamback speaker too to replace the Jensen which should also be an improvement. Of course you can buy the Tonemaster Blonde version of the Deluxe which has already got all these improvements. Zac Childs has one too and I’m sure you’ve probably watched his review. It’s a great way to get great tone and preserve your original Deluxe in certain situations.

I’ve actually played Zac’s when we were hanging out at his place. It’s a great sounding (and very lightweight) amp. If I had a need for another amp like that, I would certainly consider one.

@@badscrew4023 - just trying to figure out your point here. It wasn’t an instructional video
@CodyJungGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, thanks for watching the video! I’m a bit confused about what the issue is here. As this is not an instructional video, but rather a gear demo, I would think the text describing the clip would be more important than the visibility of my right hand. Can you help me understand so that I can make better videos in the future?
