I bought NTS, from StringJoy. A big mistake. 2 strings came off the metal bead and they were worthless just like StringJoy. FSJ!!

Short and sweet! Nice video, Cody. I have a Terraform and for someone like me, who never used many effects and just kicks around at home or with friends, it is great for exploring and delivering on a wide range of sounds. Came here because I heard some outlaw phaser and wondered, Do people who "know" think this phaser cuts the mustard? Glad to see you're liking it.

I have a Silvertone that's similar. It says 25W on the schematic but it's 5W output. That's because it draws up to 25 watts at max volume. Your amp likely draws 50 watts but outputs 15-20 or so.

You should compare the 314ce to the Eastman AC322CE or even the AC122CE. For similar tone woods. I’ve owned both the 314ce and AC322ce. The 314ce is $2500. The AC322ce is $1100. The AC322 is Superior in every way. The 314ce was quickly sold. Also, please don’t switch guitars so quickly. It’s makes the comparison much more difficult.

Hi Cody! Which strings did you end up with? I have a 51 ES-5 as well and am still looking for the "perfect" set - I play a bit of jazz and mostly jump blues and fingerstyle/travis picking. At the moment I have 11 roundwounds on the guitar which feel kinda wonky. In general the guitar doesn't sound too bright and I am also looking for a set of strings that add some brightness. BTW: interesting to see that your guitar already has the newer dogear covers and not the older bakelite types which are different in shape (rounder) and colour (darker shade of black). Greetings from Austria, Michael

I have actually purchased the dream 65 myself. And it pretty much sounds close to what you have recorded. All the same, it was still insightful to listen to it.

The best way to listen to this is without watching it. scroll down to comments and just listen.. Most people want to listen with their eyes, and with a bias opinion. The only way to avoid that is to listen without watching. Take notes if you have to and check your results with a second or third time listen through.

Deluxe all the way. Hand wired versus chip and tube. 50s through 60s amps hit a standard thats only been copied since. Nothing has topped them.

I Love Tommy, one of the best Guitar players out there, in my book it's Tommy Emmanuel, Doyle Dykes, Brent Mason, Albert Lee, Doug Seven, Johnny Hiland, Jimmy Olander, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed, Reggie Young, Ricky Skaggs, Vince Gill, James Burton, Steve Wainer and still so many others I can't name right now, and what I just named is not in any particular order.

Is it me or this pedal looses completely the tone of the guitar? It just comes out muddy. I bought it without trying first and I regret it.

same here ! I love ehx but this is unusable , with the blend near noon , the tone is dramatically altered , almost like a filter , I have to enhance the highs a lot with an eq pedal to get something out of it .

A succinct how-to guide for guitarists trying to copy different eras of American country music tremolo sounds. For someone like me who did not grow up in a country music household but discovered a love for it later in life after I picked up the axe **and** I happen to be a Luddite when it comes to gear...this video is everything I needed to get my feet wet. I wish I had seen this years ago! Thanks for making so many great videos.

Thirty eight seconds in, and this guy is already talking about, "Listen. This isn't clickbait. If you only came here for a fast and loose description then let's get that out of the way." For the record, I'm watching the entire video because I came here for a detailed personal breakdown of the difference from someone with an informed opinion. I just think it's worth pointing out how great - and honest - of a job you are doing with your channel. Why are ethically-minded KZbin videomakers so rare?! If I have one "negative" comment it would be to mention for any novices getting into this sort of recording that using these tunings changes the tension on the neck and/or truss rod of the guitar. So if you are not one to do your own setups, then it is highly advisable to check with your technician/local string instrument repair person to make sure your instrument(s) are good to go before and after making the string change.
